The Galaxy Note 10.1, old as it may be, is still the de facto standard if you're looking for an Android tablet with a built-in stylus and at least some custom software to support it. Now, it's cheaper than ever to get your hands on it with Woot offering the 32GB model with a bonus leather pouch for $409. The slate has also received some updates in some regions since it first came out, so there's never been a better time to give it a second look.

The unit is refurbished, so if you have some hesitations about that, you may want to sit this deal out. However, with the 32GB model still going for $500 on Amazon, this is a pretty steep discount if you're already interested in buying. The leather pouch is a nice bonus, too, as those can easily cost $20 or more. The sale is good for today only, so if you're on the fence, get off it quick.

It's probably cheaper than ever because not that many people are buying them. The smaller devices under 9 inches seem to be the new rage. But this deal is worth taking a look at.

Or you could get a brand new Nexus 10.

Gah, why can I not bring myself to buy this thing yet?! I've been watching the Note 10.1 for a long time now, but $400 still seems too much. I think the Touchpad firesale ruined me, plus I don't even use that all that much.

If it had Android 4.2 with multi-view on all apps then I'm sure the interest would perk up really quick. Asus just updated their tf300t (I have one of those as well), but a samsung device with the s pen and universal multiview might get some attention. P.S. I really don't want to root my GNOte 10.1 for a few features while losing some stability on a custom rom. Hopefully we will see something amazing by El Goog at this year's IO conference (hopefully I can get a ticket before the sell-out window this time.)

Many people call Samsung's features gimmicky and useless, but I would have to personally say that if they were universally implemented across other devices (and brands), people would use them much more.

Does anyone know if Android 4.2 supports different alternate launchers per user? I have been unable to get this working. I would love to be able to let my nephew use one of my devices without worrying about him getting into things he should not be while at the same time not having my user profile limited with app lockers and restrictions for a just in case scenario. I bought him a Nabi 2, which he loves, but the battery life is abysmal and sometimes the wifi radio leaves something to be desired, so he wants to use one of Uncle John's other devices.

It's a nice tablet, but a brand new Nexus 10 32GB off ebay for $465 sounded better...

Gotta get rid of them bricks on the shelves :-)

Is the current Note 10.1 stock being cleared for a coming Note 2 10.1?

My Galaxy Note 10.1 will not turn on...is out of warranty. Can I send it to be refurbished?
