Definition: A "nightly" is a bleeding edge release that is built on a daily basis, usually at night after a full day's worth of new code has been committed.

It could oftentimes be unstable and not properly tested, lacking any changelogs, but eventually evolving into alphas, betas, release candidates, and finally stable releases.

After rolling out CyanogenMod 10.1 nightly builds for three other devices yesterday (along with M2 builds), the CM dev community has kept the steam going into today - adding 7 new supported handsets to the latest version of Android's most popular custom ROM.

In addition, the Optimus L7 received its first official CyanogenMod build, though it's only version 10 (Android 4.1), and can be found here.

It's amazing that locked devices such as the Moto devices can get nightlies. Shows the hard work that Dhacker and Hashcode have put in to it. Great job!

Is there a guide anywhere on getting the Verizon RAZR set up with CM 10.1?

I'm hoping to get a new phone this summer, but until then.... Any chance CM might be looking at moving back another generation in the Droid line & getting the X (it was released along side the Droid 2 & my understanding a lot of the 2's ROMs get ported over to the X) upgraded past 2.3.7? I'd even be happy with CM9, it doesn't have to be 10 (though if possible - I wouldn't mind it being 10)....

Woah, I'm so happy that the Droid 3 is getting some attention paid to it. Thank you! Last time I tried an ICS/JB image, the camera wasn't working, so I'm really hoping this one does it!

Droid 3 user running CM 10.1 Nightlies, so far all core features are working fantastic! Only issue I've run into is with the camera, but hopefully that will be fixed soon. Even so, I'll gladly use Jellybean with no camera over the Gingerbread.
