If you're in the market for a Nexus 7, don't want to pay full price, and yesterday's 1SaleADay deal left a bad taste in your mouth, eBay might have what you're looking for.

Through eBay's Daily Deals, seller Tiger Direct is offering up refurbished 16GB models for $169.99 shipped. That's about a $30 discount over the Play Store's price (plus shipping).

Just in case you've somehow forgotten what makes the Nexus 7 a great little tablet (besides its price), it's packing a 1280x800 7" display, a 1.2MP front facing camera, 1GB RAM, and a Tegra 3 processor. It's a must-buy for those who enjoy the 7" form factor and want a direct-from-Google, pure Android experience. To take advantage of the deal, just hit the link below.

So $170 is a good deal but $180 is lies and slander?

The "lies and slander" were regarding their inflated claim about the "retail price", not the price. But ya, I was thinking the same thing.

How genuine is the seller? The ebay page does not have any contact details. I want to gift the tablet to a friend of mine, who lives abroad.

TigerDirect has relisted for $190, free shipping. Google wants $14 shipping + tax, so EBay/Tiger is $24 cheaper assuming they want tax too. That $24 savings comes at the expense of warranty of course. At $170 it was a great deal, $190, I'm not so sure.
