Yesterday, Verizon welcomed the bright pink Motorola DROID RAZR M into the fold just in time for V-Day. Sure, it's essentially the same device as the existing RAZR M, but c'mon – it's pink! That's a pretty niche color, so I'm sure there are lots of Android fangirls out there who just can't wait to get their hands on this little guy. And now, they can do just that for free at Best Buy Mobile – a $50 savings over Verizon's in-store price. Considering the pink variant hasn't shown up at Amazon Wireless or Wirefly yet, Best Buy seems to be the only place running the deal so far.

So, just to make sure we're on the same page: pink RAZR M, free. Got it?

Of course, to get any phone for free, you're required to sign a two-year agreement, and this case is no different. Fortunately, the deal is good for both new customers and upgrades, so existing customers don't get the short end of the stick for once.

Just as a reminder, here's what you'll get for the low cost of... nothing:

  • 4.3" 540x960 edge-to-edge'ish Gorilla Glass Super AMOLED display
  • 1.5GHz dual-core processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB storage, microSD card slot
  • 4G LTE connectivity
  • 8MP rear shooter with 1080p video capture
  • NFC
  • 60.9 x 122.5 x 8.3 mm (2.39 x 4.82 x 0.33 inches)
  • 126 grams (4.44 oz)
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • 2000mAh battery
  • Android 4.1

I actually like it, I'd get it for a female friend.

The regular Razr M is free on contract from AmazonWireless

It is, but not the pink version.

Why wouldn't you just get the black or white one and put a pink case on it?

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Cameron Summerson

Because you can get a pink one and won't need a case?

      • ProductFRED

I meant why not get a neutral-colored one and case it. That way you don't have to deal with the embarrassment of a hot-pink phone.

        • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

Because someone who wants a pink phone may want a pink phone. If you don't want a pink phone, you probably won't get a pink case either.
