It's been quite a while since we've heard anything from the video-identifying application IntoNow, but out of nowhere the Yahoo!-owned app was bumped up to v2.0 late yesterday evening. The update brings several new features, which mostly focus on the social aspect of the app:

What's in this version:

- Capture and caption your favorite "Did you see that" moments with Capit – instantly create pictures from your TV, add a caption and/or comment, and share with your friends.

- Newsfeed update – Now you can see when friends are in a discussion or have completed a trivia.

- Get live sport updates with scores, stats, and player information for football, basketball, and baseball

- Join the community with trivia, discussions, polls, and other fun experiences for some of your favorite TV shows

If you're not familiar with IntoNow, it's basically like SoundHound for TV. Hit the button, it listens to whatever's playing on the tube, and returns the appropriate results. In turn, you can unlock features and other things pertaining to the currently-playing show.

IntoNow is a free app in the Play Store – hit the widget to give it a go.
