Ever since Samsung released the Note II with awesome new features like Multi-Window and Air View, owners of the original Note have been wondering if they would ever see these enhancements. Considering the Galaxy S III started receiving its Premium Suite update about a week ago, we all assumed that the Note would be next. Samsung has now confirmed that with a new microsite highlighting all of the features of the Jelly Bean Premium Suite for the phablet that started it all.

The update is set to bring many of the features that make the Note II so great, including Multi-Window, Popup Note/Video/Browser, Easy Clip, Paper Artist, Air View, and more. Unfortunately, there's no word as to when the update should start rolling out, but considering Samsung is already showing it off, we expect it should be fairly soon.

Since the USA has absolutely no consumer protection to speak of, there's not much reason for them to bother.

i heard the hardware on gnote 1 cant run the enhanced software.i tried an alpha release and it was way too laggy

  • Sergii Pylypenko

I wonder though whether this release was somehow sped up by the recently discovered Exynos security vulnerability.

Way to go Samsung, updating a device that has its successor already launched it is great news... guess you learned something from all the bad press you get for leaving Galaxy S out of ICS...

    • mgamerz

The galaxy S was almost 2 years old when ICS came out. ICS came out in ~november 2011 and the Galaxy S came out in March 2010. That's like 20 months. My Atrix came out in Feb 2011, and it didn't even get ICS.

One company being a bunch of cocks doesn't make it better when other companies are cocks.

Samsung needs to patent these before Apple steals the idea and never uses it except to sue Samsung. Just sayin'.

  • PINJ

And one x owners are still left hangin. disgraceful.

    • ssj4Gogeta

Yeah, right. Why doesn't Samsung update HTC One X with their Premium Suite too? While they're at it, they might as well do one for the Iphone too.

      • Volkyrie

Yes, I cant wait to use multi-window on the brilliant 3.5" display on the iPhone

        • ssj4Gogeta

To their credit, it's 4" now.

          • http://twitter.com/add119 adam

My mother got this device today, and my god Samsung please take note the device is running ICS **not** Gingerbread/iOS. The design of the apps is disgusting and could be so much better if they did nothing

    • Jon Garrett

      I'll trade your mom 2 iPhone 4's 16GB for her AT&T Galaxy Note 2.

  • chandradithya

On Samsung's micro site for this, one of the features is "Project Buffer".
    :P Just Sayin'

    • Mooki

Nice spot, hadn't noticed that. :D

      • chandradithya

Looks like they fixed it already.
Shows Samsung employees read all our comments and are big fans of AP too :D

  • smeddy

Nice one Samsung :) - Might win me back from CM10.1

  • rameshkarthickk

A good news to hear on an average day

  • primalxconvoy

This is great news. My gf has got a Note 1 and she didn't want the cracked version of paper artist but now she's getting it anyway. More android manufacturers should take note (no pun intended) and support their legacy phones. Guess this is why I'm never going back to HTC.
