TRANSFORMERS Legends

Here's a tip for gamers: mobile card games are like crack. They're "free", addictive, and the only way to win at higher levels is to shell out some real cash for the extras. That said, if your fantasy of choice involves sentient robots fighting each other (and also selling you toys) then Transformer Legends is for you. Oh, and the best part: these are the REAL Transformers, not the Michael bay wannabes.

Vritra

What's better than flying a spaceship against hoards of enemies? Flying a dragon against hoards of enemies, of course! Vritra doesn't offer a whole lot of originality for a side-scrolling shooter, but the unique story and impressive sprite graphics make it worth a look for any fan of the genre. Here's a free demo version.

--

Throw down a challenge to all the 80s and 90s gamers. Get back the enthusiasm you had once. Control the dragon and the vajras, and destroy the evil Dragon Emperor "VRITRA". The dragon called itself Dragon Emperor and ruled the whole world spreading fear, massacring and looting.

Super Mega Worm Vs Santa 2

Santa is overrated. The true spirit od Christmas is embodied in a gigantic worm that spits fire and lasers. Of course, Santa isn't going down without a fight. He'll send his standard compliment of warriors to defeat you (elves, reindeer, giant robots, etc.). NES-style controls make the game simple, and dedication to old-school aesthetics make it hard.

--

The cult hit Super Mega Worm finally arrives on Android. This is the sequel to the cult hit Super Mega Worm Vs Santa. The follow up to the epic saga between the great Mega Worm, Wojira and the evil robotic Mecha Santa. This new adventure takes Wojira right into the heart of Santa's toy factories and is filled with total chaos and destruction. Wojira has returned with 3 all new super powers and is ready to battle the forces of the North Pole once more. As the Great Mega Worm, you will eat, jump, crawl, and crush your way to eradicated the evil forces of Earth. As you progress, you will grow bigger, jump higher, and gain new destructive super powers to become the unstoppable force, the Super Mega Worm. Can you save Mother Earth?

Dragon Warcraft

No, strategy and RPG fans, not that Warcraft. This game loosely fits in the tower defense genre, and asks you to kill dragons, not lead them. Anyone who's played Battleheart will recognize the either-or upgrade system. The combination of lots of on-screen enemies and 3D effects make for some interesting visuals.

--

defend the castle. demolish the legion. Assemble warriors. The evil dragon lord and his demon army are making devastating attacks at our castle. Time to fight back and smash their hearts. Take the ancient crossbows, unleash most powerful magic, yell at the enemies and release your anger.

Cosmic Kingdoms

Cosmic Kingdoms is a massively multiplayer online strategy game, in which you explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, then blast them into dust with your gigantic fleet of killing machines. Those familiar with turn-based strategy will be on familiar ground here, but the addition of a worldwide persistent universe deserves its own attention.

--

Cosmic Kingdom takes place in the universe with dynamic MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online) space sci-fi strategy game. Cosmic Kingdom is all about “fleets which you can design your own” and “you can invade other user’s planets”. Gamers with a lust for giant starship fleets pounding the crap out of each other with missiles and beam weapons. This game is not a tactical game, it is a strategy one. “Players must design the fleets that will fight for your own kingdoms glory in the depths of universe.”.It’s time to build your own kingdom.

DREAM BEAT

If Pong and Guitar Hero made a baby... well, it would probably look a lot more ugly than DreamBeat. But you get the basic idea: move your paddle to intersect the dots and play along with the music. The visual style has the retrolicious allure that seems so popular today, but that doesn't mean it isn't appealing.

--

"DREAM BEAT" is a game in which the player compete in a game of effects against the piano music notes of some of the most popular song titles in the world. Best their score by moving a paddle from left to right to the rhythm while touching and bouncing back target BEATS that come flying toward the borderline of their screens. The game's simple rules and instinctive use of the touch allow for more fun, easier, game play for anyone. Simply move your finger on the screen to move the paddle or tap the notes as you feel like.

Space Keeper

Some games just defy description, and Space Keeper is among them. There's a story about universal chaos, et cetera, but you appear to play as a series of sentient black holes. The point is to clear a path in space and get the right kind of energy into the right black hole. Or disaster will befall. For some reason. In any case, it looks like a nice, soothing experience.

--

Use the unique powers of energy cells to save Earth from total chaos. It is the year 2312. Mankind is almost at its end - all natural resources have expired. It's up to you to create energy for the world of tomorrow with the unique elements of outer space. But watch out: Explosive particles, asteroids and aliens are just a few of the obstacles that you'll encounter. Space Keeper features challenging physics-based gameplay and hours of replay value. Each level will put your logic, speed and dexterity to the test.

Pocket Tanks

It's Scorched Earth. What else do you want? Well, how about over 100 weapons, different types of terrain, and both free and paid expansions? Unfortunately there's no online play - you'll have to hot potato your way to victory.

--

The Ultimate One-on-One Artillery Game explodes onto Android for the first time. Pocket Tanks is the fast-paced artillery game that is simple to learn, and fun to master. The perfect quick game for friends and family, you'll find yourself hooked for hours of play. Bury your opponent in a mound of dirt, or assail him with a barrage of bullets. Visit the Weapon Shop before battle to arm yourself for the struggle, or try the Target Practice mode to learn all the weapons and the best tactics to win.

Football Manager Handheld 2013

Android Police coverage: [New Game] Sega's Football Manager Handheld 2013 Caters To OCD Soccer Fans Everywhere

You're not a normal soccer nut. You're the kind of soccer nut who runs six concurrent fantasy teams. Football Manager (that's the round football, not the oval one) is for you: obsessively recruit, train, position, and maintain your team (you know, everything except the actual playing part). In-app purchases are included for the paid game, but only as shortcuts.

--

The world's best-selling football management game returns for a new season. Football Manager Handheld™ 2013 puts you in the hot-seat and allows you to put your managerial skills to the test wherever, whenever and however you want. Take the hot-seat at any club from a choice of leagues in 14 countries, and assume full control of transfers, training, tactics and managing your team live during matchdays as you strive for glory and silverware. Whether it be in commute-sized bursts, or on-the-sofa marathons, there’s an experience for everyone as you can choose between a full career or face up to the popular ‘Challenge Mode’, which offers a series of particular short-term scenarios with a clear goal to be achieved.

MegaFlux

Puzzles and The Matrix wouldn't seems to be a good combination, but MegaFlux seems intent to try. It's a sliding puzzle game: configure the board to get power to all of the processors to win. Of course, it gets progressively more difficult, but you can feel a thrill of accomplishment by climbing up the leaderboards.

--

Challenge & puzzle your mind with the best plumber game for free. MegaFlux revisits the plumber classic with twisted rules and a colorful tech setting. In this original puzzle game, your goal is to power the Processors with Flux of the right color. At start it's pretty simple: turn the Nano-Pipes by tapping on them in order for the Flux to reach its destination. Things get harder if you tackle the Challenge Mode, in which you will discover different kind of Components that can modify any Flux entering it. Will you manage to beat the evil NegaFlux?

Chasing Yello

Children are monsters, as Finding Nemo instructs us, and the worse that any mildly innocent goldfish could ever asked for is to be owned by a tiny blond girl. The titular character in Chasing Yello knows this well, so when he finds himself in the local creek, he makes every effort to escape. This one's another take on the "running game genre," but may be worth a look for the unique premise and colorful sprite-based graphics alone.

--

Take an Adventurous swim in the raging river as the Chase continues. 7-year-old Mathilda lets her helpless goldfish, Yello, taste freedom in the local wild creek. Help Yello to escape Mathilda and navigate the poor fish through a rough adventure in the dangerous river filled with rocks, burning logs and piranhas. Will Yello escape, fall victim to the hazardous environment, to Mathilda’s fish net??

Nemo's Reef

Android Police coverage: Disney Releases Nemo's Reef, It's A Small World Live Wallpaper, And Where's My Holiday? All In One Go

It's a bit late for a Finding Nemo tie-in, but Pixar movies never lose their charm. Halfway between a digital fish tank and a Sims-style city creation game, Nemo's Reef has all the memorable characters from the movie with the possible exception of Nigel the pelican. Remember to strategically place anemones for seasonal jellyfish swarms.

--

Nemo and his dad, Marlin, set out to build the coolest reef in his class. Help Nemo create a best-in-class underwater retreat, and discover the secrets to building a permanent home for his friends.

  • Continue Nemo's story and adventures beneath the sea.
  • Create and personalize your very own underwater paradise.
  • Make a home for your favorite characters from Finding Nemo including Dory, Gill, Bloat, Bubbles, and more.
  • Find the different combinations of plants and decorations to delight Nemo's friends and other exotic fish.
  • Discover and plant rare seeds to attract extremely rare and mysterious fish.

PLAYMOBIL Pirates

Android Police coverage: [New Game] Gameloft Brings Toy-Sized Swashbuckling To Android With Playmobil Pirates

Most of our readers are a little old for Playmobil's line of toys, but the Gameloft-developed pirate game seems to be a pretty good diversion for kids. It follows the tried-and-true minigame route, with a Sims-style camp management hub. Make sure and put those parental controls to use before handing over your phone or tablet: this one's got in-app purchases.

--

Play with your favorite PLAYMOBIL toys as part of an exciting pirate experience. Yo ho ho and a barrel of fun. Dive into the exciting world of PLAYMOBIL toys in the most exciting pirate experience ever. PLAYMOBIL Pirates is free to play, but if you wish you can enrich your experience by purchasing game items with real money. You can disable in-app purchases by adjusting your device’s settings.

Guns'n'Glory Heroes

The Guns'n'Glory franchise has expanded from the old west and World War 2 into... Middle Earth? While the "Guns" aspect of this game seems a little out of place next to elves and dwarves, the same mix of real-time strategy and tower defense from the previous games remains intact. You'll need quick reflexes and solid strategy to get through the various waves of ravening evil creatures.

--

Face evil Orcs, apostate Elves and dark knights in Guns'n'Glory Heroes. Sharpen the axe, polish your armor and ready your guns. It's time to fight for glory, honor and gold once more. Guns'n'Glory is back. The realm is under attack as Orcs, apostate Elves and dark knights roam the lands. Help our heroes Smirl, Arlon and Eloa in their epic struggle against this evil menace. Harness the power of light and face your enemies. Annihilate whole armies with magical fire and ice. Unleash the Dwarven Fury upon your foes and split Orcs skulls. Join your party of stalwart heroes and become the Champion of the Hill Lands.

Bloons TD 5

Apparently there are four "Bloons" games that have entirely passed me by, all of which are in the increasingly crowded tower defense genre. After that kind of lead-in you can forget any hope of finding out what a Bloon is, but in any case they need destroying, and the only way to do it is with tactically-placed towers. Upgrade your towers, release special agents, and pop sentient balloons like a plastic war criminal.

--

The Bloons are back and this time they mean business. Build awesome towers, choose your favorite upgrades, hire cool new Special Agents, and pop every last invading Bloon in the best ever version of the most popular tower defense series in history. Featuring an all New Tower and Special Agent, glorious high res graphics, original Tracks and Special Missions, a whole new tier of Specialty Building upgrades, and a never-before-seen Monkey Lab to upgrade your towers, Bloons TD 5 delivers hours of fun and challenging play to fans and new players alike.

SiliBili

Classically, the five elements are earth, wind, fire, water, and surprise, but SiliBili rather ambitiously decides that they're something else. What do faith, courage, freedom, wisdom, and love have to do with dragons and/or dungeons? Who knows, but if you want a Zelda-style 3D action game, the rather tastelessly named SiliBili will provide. Find the five apocryphal elements, put them to good use, and keep the planet in order.

--

In a galaxy far, far away called Sibull... There was peace and harmony until it was invaded by dragons. Like any living space, Sibull requires of these 5 elements to maintain the stay of its own citizens to a life of peace and harmony. A lack of one of these elements or all, Sibull residents have suffered drastic changes in the functioning of their body, they lost the harmony and can not love, laugh and enjoy the life. They live in the hope that one day everything will be as before. Sili and Bili, two friends with little anatomy but with radiant courage, took the hard work from the exciting journey of finding the 5 elements.

Quiver

William Tell unfortunately lived before the advent of puzzle games, but if he was around today, Quiver would be right up his alley. Use a single flaming arrow to light all the braziers, making use of various obstacles to alter the trajectory. Different crystals have different physics-based effects, giving players a lot of options when it comes to choosing their projectile paths.

--

Lose yourself in this delightful new brain-teaser. Good for HOURS of PUZZLE FUN. In Quiver you complete levels by lighting all the braziers with a single arrow. The arrow can be controlled by flying it into crystals. Each of these crystals has an effect that you will need to use cleverly to complete the level. Every crystal has a different effect on the arrow. A crystal can make the arrow speed up, teleport, turn, alter its gravity or change the entire structure of a level.

Pumped: BMX

You'd think that translating a Tony Hawk-style extreme sports game to 2D would be tricky, but Pumped: BMX seems to manage it pretty well. Use the forgiving physics and somewhat over-the-top tracks to string together combos. Get ambitious and you'll bite the dust, but chain them together just right and you'll make the pixelated crowd roar. Try the free version if you don't want to shell out.

--

Pumped: BMX is an insanely addictive and challenging BMX game. Made by a BMXer for everyone who loves a challenge, Pumped: BMX is a true-to-life, insanely addictive and challenging BMX game created by someone who actually rides. If you're not a BMXer the tutorials will guide you, but prepare yourself for a brutal lesson in trails style. From huge jumps to technical lines, from insane stunts to stylish flow, Pumped lets you ride the way you want to ride.

Quiet Christmas

It's been a long time since point-and-click adventures were the norm, but Quiet Christmas longs for the good old days. In more ways than one, in fact - in addition to old-school mechanics and a superficially dull setting, it's got unapologetically 8-bit graphics to boot. This one would be perfect to play while your relatives watch A Christmas Story for the third straight time.

--

It is Christmas Eve and you just want to go to bed and wake up on Christmas morning. But the tree is broken, the house it too cold, Mr. Peabody's tacky Xmas display is annoying and as always your brother won't go to bed. Explore, interact with your environment and solve puzzles in this old-school adventure game.

• Classic adventure game fun on your hand-held device.
• Colorful retro-styled graphics.
• Explore a lighthearted and humorous environment.
• Use your wits and the items you find to get the house ready for Christmas.

Words'N'Blox

Somewhere between Boggle and a sliding box puzzle lies Words'N'Blox. The screenshots don't hint at much, but the premise is simple: slide the letters into place to make the word you're given at the start of each level. Online and hot potato multiplayer makes it versatile, if not exactly original, and tens of thousands of words should keep you playing for a while.

--

Words'N'Blox is your new favourite casual puzzle and word game. Challenge your friends, or play on your own. Find the optimal path in cleverly designed levels to reveal the hidden words. Navigate through 5 exciting worlds, ranging from a Jungle Adventure theme through to a Space Craze theme, there's lots to explore. It's superfun to solve the various words and blocks. Words'N'Blox is an addictive word puzzle game; it's easy to play; but hard to put down. Game play is simple: You identify the words for each of the levels, then drag the various blox across the available path to place the words and blox in the correct position. How quickly are you able to find the Optimal Path in the level maze?

Cognitile

While there are plenty of games that require you to carefully time jumps and runs or face a spiky and/or pit-filled death, Cognitile puts a new spin on things by requiring you to do it all in advance. Plan one wrong step, and your fedora'd hero is history. 60 levels plus a level builder help flesh out the simple premise, and the graphics are surprisingly charming.

--

Cognitile throws you, a budding adventurer on a tile-based journey. Use the power of Cog Vision to watch the sequence of hazards at the beginning of a level and then carve a safe path through the mayhem by memory to find the hidden treasure. Make one mistake and you could fall down a crumbling tile, find yourself poisoned or engulfed in flames, get crushed by a boulder or attacked by snakes (why'd it have to be snakes.).

Mine Quest

Mine Quest is definitely trying to ride the coat tails of a certain other game, but it shouldn't be confused with everyone's favorite obsessive-compulsive enabler. This ones' more of a multi-leveled puzzle game. It looks like a decent enough time-waster, though you'll have to overlook some basic graphics.

--

You are the best Treasure Hunter in the world and your quest is to find the Master Diamond and collect the riches of the world. Your search leads you to the village of Sulphur where Ruby the Demoness lives. She can help you find the Master Diamond by making you the tools you need to dig deeper and deeper. Just be careful, or you might cause a cave-in. Upgrade your tools to collect all the gems and metal and complete your Mine Quest.

Like the other members of the Big Win series, this is a card collection game, which basically means that you'll be paying to win after the first hour or so.

Ichi Free

We featured this game back in July, but the unique hand-drawn puzzler is now free. Enjoy.

--

Ichi is an easy to play but challenging one button puzzle game. Don't be deceived by the game simplistic look, it’s a brain twister for sure. Collect golden rings by rotating objects, using teleporters, breaking blocks and more. If that isn’t enough, the game includes a level editor that allows you to create your own levels and share them with anyone around the globe.

Pumped: BMX is so awesome. Me and my roommate have wasted hours after that game in the past 3 days but it was worth it. Just wish Final exams weren't starting tomorrow though. :)

  • defred34

What kind of a list is this w/ no Demons Score, FFII and FF Dimensions?

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

Damnit, that was my bad. I have been keeping track of all the games, and somehow forgot to add those 3 to the list, even though I added an individual TODO for the post we did last week. Argh. Adding now, albeit too late.

The previous Bloons TD were all browser based flash games, made before the already crowded TD genre began to crowd the smartphone scene too. Surprised they still made them, will download and try it out

Big Win games are very addicting. The basketball one is the best so far!

Nice game list but check this one: streetquest - run is a game. Really good game-like application for runners that will help you to get back into jogging routine after Christmas ;)
