Ever since Chameleon Launcher was released, users have been wanting to see a version designed for phones. Looks like that time is finally coming, as the Chameleon dev team has posted a call for 25 alpha/beta testers for the new project, requesting that they have specific phone models to test on:

HTC One X+
Samsung Galaxy Note® II
Samsung Galaxy Note™
Samsung Galaxy S3
Nexus 4
Galaxy Nexus

It's pretty clear that they want to get this thing running on the current top dogs as quickly as possible - if you think you can provide valuable, well thought-out feedback, head to the source link to find out how to get in on the action.

[Chameleon; Thanks, Timothy!]

I wouldn't mind testing it, but I don't want to waste their time. I'd use it in everyday situations, but alpha testing requires stressing to find flaws that you might not come across in everyday situations.

I advise others to think about this before they go spamming the developers. If you just want to play with it, you're wasting everyone's time.

      Excellent advice.

Oh dear... should have read your comment first...

lol. to be fair, they should really spell out more of what they expect of you -- regular 1,000 word feedback? weekly surveys? no idea.

Well said. I was excited then figured I would just want to use it not take time to find and report bugs so I passed.

Exactly! I've been on both sides of alpha/beta tests and it's actually a lot of work. In this scenario, I'm passing simply because it never impressed me as much as I hoped after supporting the kickstarter and then having it pretty much be useless on a 7" tablet. I'm sure it's great on a 10" but simply doesn't work all that great on a 7". I can't possibly see how it will live up to anything even on a 4.7-5.5" screen.

Sounds like fun. I have a Galaxy S3 what does one HAVE to do, in order to state ones interest ???

  • GazaIan

Minimum of 720p screen resolution requirement? Please don't :(

    • wolfkabal

For what it is, I can see this as a requirement. Anything less and there simply isn't enough real estate to do what they intend.

    Damn, too late for me.

  • misluckydcky

I would like to be a part of the testing

  • Michael Fontenot

I have a gnex, nexus 4 and a one x. I could definitely do some testing.

  • KingRando

    Gnex rooted CM10

  • Jon Garrett

I purchased this app for my 10.1 and I have no idea how it works because all it does is crash, crash, crash !!

  • Dennis Williams

I would love to test for you. I have a Samsung S3, I'm an active member on xda developers.

    A day late... damn
