If you're looking for the Android 4.2.1 update to the Nexus 4 that started rolling out this morning (it's a very minor patch, at only 1.1MB), you can find it, straight from Google's servers, at this link.
The update, JOP40D, so far has one known fix: the missing month of December in the People app (Contacts.apk). Presumably it fixes other things, too - Google probably wouldn't release a patch just for a single bug, but we haven't figured out what else this patch may address just yet. That said, there is no shortage of things it could (read: should) address.
Here are all the files that have received changes as part of this update, and it's by no means just the People app:
David's phone is an HTC One X+. He is an avid writer, and enjoys imparting a legal perspective on Android news where it is relevant. He also doesn't usually write such boring sentences.
That's pretty absurd. I wonder if it's a Qualcomm issue or something else...

Hope it fixes the "searching for GPS" crap on my Gnex.

I had the same issue. Disabling and Re-enabling Google's location service in the settings fixed my issue.
mrsbelpit
Thanks, but that hasn't worked for me for some reason. Just go into settings and turn off location services, and turn it back on? That's all I did.

That's a part of the stack-trace that appears when clicking the twitter share button under the article :) Your upper tweeting button works well, the lower one throws that exception :)
Just thought you'd like to know.

This update works with Nexus 7?

Where's the link for Nexus 7?

This is garbage, my Nexus 7 experience is still ruined. How do I get back to 4.1.2? I'm disappointed in Google.

Factory reset normally fixes a laggy Nexus 7 experience on 4.2. I know that isn't what you want to hear but every person I've told to do this has had their issue resolved with it.
I'v also heard reports of people disabling the Sync feature on Currents.

I tried installing the update using the same 'adb sideload' method I used to update to 4.2, and I got 'Installation Aborted'. Does this update get installed differently?

My bad. The zip file is for the Nexus 4 only. My 7 will have to wait for it's zip file.

Now rolling out to nexus 7 got mine updated already =)

I noticed an issue with 4.2 where the elapsed times shown in the "running apps" display started showing letters instead of digits (number formatting bug?). Have to wait and see if that's now fixed...

I'm not really sure why, but after installing this (through CWM, if that matters), it completely borked my GPS in Maps and Navigation. I've been using Navigation very heavily for the last couple of days and right after the install it couldn't get a lock. Maps shows the accuracy to within about a block and a half (where I'm at, city blocks are significantly larger than in most cities, which emphasizes how bad it is).
When I wake up, I'll give a try to doing a factory reset. If that doesn't work, I've already downloaded the 4.2 factory image. It's thousands of times more important to me to have functioning navigation than it is to fix the relatively insignificant december bug.
