Over the past couple weeks, we've watched Amazon Wireless continuously drop the price of the Galaxy Note II across various carriers, and AT&T's version of the behemoth is the latest to face the price-cutting ax. Effective today, customers who sign a new agreement with Big Blue can grab this powerhouse phablet for $175 - the lowest price we've seen yet on the device. If you're an existing customer looking to upgrade to the Note II, don't sweat too hard - it's only $200 for you.

That's a minimum of $100 off of what AT&T is asking for this device, and $125 cheaper if you're signing a new contract. Not a bad deal at all.

Ok Verizon...you've had long enough to showcase your beloved 'Droid' DNA. Give us the GN2 already!

Galaxy Note 2 pisses on the HTC DNA.

  • tdoggg

This is wrong! It is not even out on Verizon yet (only pre-order) and it is already being discounted on most other carriers. Glad I did not pre-order at 299 from big red. Yikes

    • yarrellray

Yeah my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is rocking real strong on tmobile and my unlimited data plan. This industry leading device deserves unlimited usage not some weak ass shared plan.

I was holding out for the Nexus 4 but i was also holding out for a the Note II as well. How can i not buy the Note II now at this price. I wonder if i hold out for another week if the Note II will go lower hmmm decisions...decisions.

The longer you wait, the bigger the discounts, of course. The question is, at which point does saving another $25-50 warrant not having this beast available for daily use?

        Very true

$199 Nexus 4 OFF contract or Note II $175/$200 ON 2 years contract. Tough choice.

$199 ??? from where did you find that price ?

It's $299 for 8Gb, and $349 for 16Gb without tax or shipping ($13.99) on Play Store!
        https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_4_8gb

Also, I find it N4 really limited with 16Gb and no Micro Sd, as I always switch and backup files to it, it's very convenient!

I just got it from BestBuy, upgrading from GS3 International.

and man all I can say is WoW, I never really thought I liked it much as I do now :)

      I'm so stoked :D

I wonder how soon after Verizon releases the Galaxy Note 2 will it be discounted like this? I want to get this phone but not if it is going to be $125 cheaper in a few weeks?

Just bought the Note 2 this morning as an upgrade at a local corporate AT&T store for $299. Called AT&T customer service this afternoon and got a $100 credit on my bill. Works for me. (Had to call twice, the first person wouldn't offer anything).

Tmobile Samsung Galaxy Note 2 pimp slaps all other carriers.

    • Zaatour36

I got it from Best Buy yesterday, and they price matched it for $199!

They almost priced match it for $179, but I didn't want to be greedy(I mentioned I'm not individual plan), as I was on family plan.

Im currently on verizon with unlimited data on the gnex. However, if I upgrade to the note 2, i will lose it and have to pay much more as i consistently use well over 2gb. I know ATT also has a shared everything type plan, but dont they also have other plans available with unlimited data? Im just trying to find out if I should jump to ATT. I have never used them before and am worried about all the dropped call issues im hearing about
