When trying to decide on a new device, most people spend a lot of time comparing various models. How does product X stack up against product Y? Which one offers the most bang for the buck? Which is going to stay relevant the longest? There are so many things to take into consideration - it's quite an overwhelming task.

Thankfully, Sortable.com is there to assist you in the quest for a new gadget. Regardless of whether it's a camera, phone, tablet, laptop, or TV, you can compare all of the most popular products in each class against each other to really figure out which one is the best for you.

For example, let's say you're trying to decide whether to buy the Galaxy S III or the Nexus 4. Simply pop the pair into Sortable's phone comparison generator, and it will output basically everything you want to know about each device, including detailed specs, performance, key differences, user reviews, and how each device compares to similar handsets.

It doesn't just output the results in a boring chart, either - Sortable highlights all of the aforementioned features in a visually interesting way, making it even easier to compare things like display sizes and screen resolution, all the while pulling quotes from reviews and throwing them into the mix:

This theme flows throughout the entire page, with graphics giving a clear and concise look at how the devices compare to one another - everything from amount of RAM and processor speed to camera resolution is laid out in an easy to follow manner, completely taking the guesswork out of choosing a new device.

Sortable uses this same approach regardless of which devices are being compared, so if you're trying to figure out which camera, laptop, phone, tablet, or TV to buy this holiday season, hit it up and play around for a while - there's a good chance it will help sway your decision in one way or another. Of course, you don't have to compare two devices to each other - Sortable also gives you the skinny on individual items, too...

...like the Nexus 10 we're giving away, for example.

Thanks to Sortable, this is your chance to score a brand new 16GB Nexus 10. You just have to follow a few simple rules.

This giveaway is open to anyone where Google is selling the Nexus 10: Australia, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the US.

The giveaway is now over. Here is the winner, chosen at random:

Well, i have played with sortable a few weeks ago and liked it. It's very well structured. The part I do not really like is that there are too many advertising banners, and honestly this ruins the good flow of the website. But overall, I like it!

Site gives a nice quick overview but some stuff needs to be more comprehensive. For instance they rated the number of cores on the processor and gave the Nexus 10 a negative because it has 2 instead of 4 even if it is faster overall.

  • JensAstrup

For someone who watches their budget very tightly, I really love the fact that I can set the starting price on the gadget I'm looking for at Sortable as the very first criteria! It's really convenient, especially since you can get reviews regarding the product directly from the site and you can have discussions on specific products from actual customer who have bought and are using the product you are searching about. It's really a great all-in-one site for those "brainstorming" on buying a gadget!

  • http://www.facebook.com/paulshir Paul Shirley

Best thing about sortable is that it gives you the exact information you want and just looks incredible in doing so.

  • Garth

Love the ability to simply compare items using common categories (not apples to oranges as some comparison sites provide). Maybe I'm missing the obvious, but would be nice to "sort" with 3 or more items to get the brief summary (I could only seem to sort between 2 at a time). Also, would be nice to flag data for "review/update".

  • JamisonFrady

I like the performance section on Sortables.

I love the layout... that was good. I'm planning on buying a phone in the next 6 months, as I still have a not-so-smart-phone that can't even get me on the internet anymore (But of course I'm paying for a dataplan... no choice, stupid CrapBerry). So this is going to come in handy. I wish I had known about it on Black friday as I was looking at TV's (although it seems that you guys haven't even added 3D or LED TV's yet, or I could just be alittle less then tech savvy and couldn't find it. lol. Good job though.

I like that there's a forum to discuss with other people. Sometimes, the specs don't get it right, and in my eyes the best reviews come from real people with real longtime experience with their device. It's great to be able to chat it out and see what's up with a certain phone, etc.
