HD Widgets, one of the nicest looking widget sets for Android, just got updated with support for the new lockscreen widgets in Android 4.2. This will add a bit more usefulness to the rather bleak set of stock widgets offered by Google for the time being, bringing information like weather, various toggles, battery status, and, of course, a slew of different clocks.

HD widgets is highly customizable, allowing users to choose from various backgrounds, fonts, colors, theme packs, and a lot more - so you should be able to find something that matches the look you're going for.

If you haven't already invested in HD Widgets, you should do so now - it'll only set you back two bucks in the Play Store.

yeah, it's just a matter of deciding whether or not I want to spend another $2 on widgets...

I can't believe that I'm getting to the point where I'm forgetting which apps that I've already purchased. A couple of years ago, I only used to install free apps. Today, I was considering purchasing this app because it supports the 4.2 lockscreen only to realize that I've already purchased it...

Every time I wipe my phone, I go back into the Play Store to get some necessities from My Apps and notice a lot more 'purchased' apps than I thought I'd purchased. I can't resist sales though, so I stock up whenever something remotely interesting pops up under $1. Just reinstalled HD Widgets after seeing this post, forgot about it because I haven't used widgets lately.

I love it when developers act quickly to support new features.

Lookin' at you, Spotify. What's up with some expanded notification controls?

I really like the new lockscreen widgets in HD Widgets, especially the clock and weather version (I've thrown out the ugly clock Google included). I also had to add the toggles, I just wish there were a way to stack the toggles widget on the same screen with the 'What's That Song' widget. Once Google gives us an option to contain more than one widget per page, this will make a lot of those things better.

I imagine we're going to see a LOT of updates in the next month or so to bring lockscreen widgets to every major music player (go PowerAmp!), each song identification service, and most of the major calendar apps.

Since the release of 4.2, I'm guessing this app is going to break sales records.
