Maybe the official Twitter client isn't up your alley. You're not alone. The fine folks at HootSuite are banking on your picky disposition, and have updated their Android app. HootSuit 2.0 is live with a number of handy additions.

2012-11-15 21.46.19 2012-11-15 21.46.55 2012-11-15 21.47.57

Changes in this version of HootSuit are:

  • Added Action Bar + Drawer navigation
  • Added AutoSchedule feature
  • Improved support for 24 hour time formats
  • Search is now in Drawer menu
  • Added Traditional Chinese & Simplified Chinese
  • Fixed various UI issues
  • Fixed various crashes
  • Fixed 4.2 compatibility
  • Improved speed and memory performance

The interface does look more modern now, and it takes some cues from the Holo guidelines. The new auto-scheduling feature is very cool and easy to figure out. HootSuite still has full support for Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, and LinkedIn. This app is more of a power user's plaything, but it's free to download.

Wonder why there's still no Google+ support. Aren't they partners with Google on this and already has G+ posting capabilities on their desktop/web suite?

G+ is only in the paid plan...

Still no widget. I want a single twitter app, with a single widget. Falcon is my favorite on my ICS Transformer Prime, but I haven't found what I like for my Gingerbread phone

Looks cool. They need to drop that gradient on the action bar though.

+100. It'd look so much better in a Holo style. Or something else. Just not that.
