The Nexus 4 may not be officially available until November 13th, but that didn't stop someone from yanking the system dump and uploading it for all the world to enjoy. Devs can grab the file now and start tinkering away with the goodies found inside the 291MB zip.

For those who may not be interested in grabbing the entire thing and only want some visual goodies, though, we've pulled the new wallpapers from the dump:

If you're interested in checking the system out in its entirety, you can grab the full dump at the source link below. They've also taken the time to separate out the system apps and sound files. How sweet.

    Only 4 new wallpapers? =)
And dammit, I really like that 4th one, but it's not colorful =/

    • Bloodflame87

Why not add some colour filters in PS. Problem solved.

I really want the golden wallpaper that looks to be the default on the Nexus 4.

    • mduran1023

That's part of the standard jelly bean pack.

As usual, Kovdev has bundled it into a wallpaper app:

I am on CM10 and the only wallpaper that comes close is way too reddish-pink.

So does anyone know what we might possibly see from the N4 dump? Maybe new Gapps packages or are most of those in the Play Store already?

Probably a bunch of "developers" trying to port it to their devices. I say "developers" because most of the competent ones will just wait for the source drop.

it's incomplete I have shell access but I'm finding a lot of missing libs

    • http://twitter.com/xplodwild Guillaume

It's not meant to be booted on a device other than Nexus 4... There is no "missing libs", just device-specific libs...

    • heat361

Yeah it looks like an unfinished ota

I'm a bit of a noob. I've read about system dumps, but what is the utility of a system dump?

    • Ian Wait

A system dump can be used for multiple things. As an example, I am using system dumps posted online to replace the crappy LG apps on my phone with stock ones. (It is impossible to use iCloud email using the stock client included with the Optimus Dynamic II. Also, it and everything else is ugly.)

  • Christopher Theofilaktos

I really like the new boot animation nice and simple, the one on the Nexus 7 looks very busy to me.

  • Faust

    Any good LWPs?

  • JG

any chance for the audio files (ringtones, alerts, etc)?

  • http://twitter.com/Rovex Rovex

Sorry but i find all the recent Google standard wallpapers really ugly. They all seem washed out and flat.
