Hot on the heels of the barrage of Nexus announcements, Google just updated the device Play Store with new product pages. Everything that should be available today can be purchased right now, while the other items are waiting their turn and should go live November 13th.

Any ideas if nexus 4 will be available in retail stores? Or is there a legal way for an international buying visiting USA to buy one?

    • Yianni Galiatsatos

You can get it through T-mobile for $200 on a 2 year contract

      • Pedro

I am a tourist, how will I be able to make a 2 year contract?

        • http://twitter.com/dynomike666 Mike

Buy the unlocked phone directly from Google, buy sim from supported US carrier (Tmo, AT&T, Straighttalk or other GSM carriers), profit. No different from other carriers around the world.

          • Pedro

that's my point: how can I buy directy from google? I believe they sell only for US credit cards.
I will try using my international card and ship to the hotel, but I believe only US cards are accepted :(

          • http://www.facebook.com/Shinakuma George Millhouse

            sucks to be you?

          • Dominic Powell

Once it says VISA/ MasterCARd or AMerican express on it... it doesn't matter the card's location. If it requires a zip code a lot of countries use the 99999 for the identifying zip code outside of the USA.

          • http://twitter.com/tyrellaagard Tyrell Aagard

Go buy a pre-paid Visa card. You can get them at many retail stores, like Walmart, Target, etc. They function exactly like a normal USA-based credit card, and you should be able to order it online with that.

          • Jaime

I hope you can buy it, because I have the same plan...

        • http://www.facebook.com/kayjay45 K.j. Littlejohn

          O Pedro ..smh

        • mofo

You can check Expansys dot com, they will have it eventually.

        • heat361

Or carphone warehouse they will surely have it idk if it would be the same price

  • Bradley Ruiz

So how are we getting 16GB more or $50 back for the current owners of the 16GB Nexus 7 haha i feel cheated :P

  • Bariman43

Nexus 4, 7, and 10. That's brilliant. It's like they're unifying everything as being part of the same family. I hope it doesn't get too confusing though.

  • JordanMcRae

WOW! Nexus 4 here I come

  • skitchbeatz

It's going to be a mad frenzy on Nov 13th. I hope they allow for pre-orders and don't mess up fulfillment like with the nexus 7

  • Yianni Galiatsatos

The only way I'll really consider the Nexus 10 is if it comes with a keyboard dock, I already own a nexus 7. So if there is no dock I'll go for the new chromebook

  • Jonathan Wong

    3G Nexus 7 for $299! Must get!

  • Swapnil Chitnis

Where can I get the wallpapers on those devices? Looks awesome.

    • http://twitter.com/tyrellaagard Tyrell Aagard

      They're default wallpapers in Android.

      • UndergroundWire

I don't see the one for Nexus 7 on my Nexus 7 or Galaxy Nexus.

  • Cheko

    Wow, nice!!!!!

*Insert whining remark about how it should be 4G but it's 3G and this is why Apple is so much better*

    • http://profiles.google.com/ted.boone Ted Boone

It should be 4G. Nothing to do with Apple. Everything to do with a flagship Nexus device embracing the best network speeds available.

      • http://twitter.com/tyrellaagard Tyrell Aagard

But then they would have to bow down to Verizon again. LTE is not a set standard in the same way that HSPA+, GSM, etc are. So if they want to have LTE, they'd need to make dozens of different versions - one for Verizon, one for AT&T, one for T-Mobile, one for Everything, Everywhere, etc.

    • Matt

you forgot this "#apple4life", if you are going to be a hipster then dont half ass it

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001144455023 Michael J Carroll

*insert remark about how Apple probably invented 4g and Samsung stole it and how Apple has morals and would never steal technology*
*insert another remark about how all the lawsuits against Apple are fraudulent and trying to make Apple look bad*

    • http://twitter.com/tnolte Timothy Nolte

I wouldn't exactly say that the lack of 4G makes Apple better, it is a downfall though. And I'm not seeing any word on the Verizon site indicating they will have an LTE version of any of the Nexus devices, though I'm not surprised after there fumble with the Galaxy Nexus. I doubt Google is going to let Verizon or Sprint ever have a Nexus device again.

    • dude

I am going to say this again. USA is not the only country in the world. This is an international device ment to sold worldwide. Europe and many places have not agree on a 4G standard yet, they might not even consider LTE and go for something else. Therefore it doesn't make sense to have it. There will be version with LTE once it gets carrier locked by American carrier along with bloatwares and bootloader locked.

    • ThEGr33k

While I think having LTE would be a bonus in some respects it isn't all that necessary imo. HSPA+ is still 5+ MBPS with good connection so is fast enough, hell most home ADSL isn't much, if any better! Who really needs more especially on a mobile product? I'd rather see better HSPA+ coverage than LTE any day.

So its certainly no deal breaker for me.

  • http://twitter.com/Darkmyth_pt Darkmyth PT

like always not avaiable in my country FY Google!!!

  • Zach Ramaekers

Looks like they are only offering price protection if you bought a 16GB Nexus 7 on or after Oct 14... http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2667427&topic=2453057&ctx=topic

    • Jameslepable

about a month before the new one is released. That should be good enough.

  • dtlvan

    Nexus 10 Wifi only ????

  • Drayon

I would have loved if google would launch google device in Europe.

    • adi19956

Available in at least the UK, Germany and France

    • http://twitter.com/micleftic Michael Nickel

erm... they ARE available in Europe, just depends on WHERE in Europe you live :-)

      • Drayon

I should have said in whole Europe. My bad.

  • http://www.facebook.com/farisfitri2303 Faris Fitri

    32GB Nexus 7 and 16GB Nexus 4,here i come!

    • Jaime

      I want a N10 and N4!!

  • Thrumwald

I am looking forward to someone testing the Nexus 7 32GB version to see if it has the same memory manger bug that the Nexus 7 16GB does. (Slowing down with less then 3 GB of free space).

  • Goldenpins

And the Galaxy Nexus is no longer for sale in the playstore.

  • heat361

With pricing of these products Google just sh**ted on Apple

    • Cherokee4Life

      haha

    • dude

I think the pretty much shat on the $199 and $299 carrier locked subsidized scheme too. Just paying a little more for unocked pentaband and latest direct google updates is worth it.

      • JG

Agreed.... Now if only they could get CDMA support so I can take advantage without loosing my grandfathered unlimited data on Verizon.... Not that I see it happening anytime soon, but....

  • http://www.facebook.com/tac1000 Tom Campbell

Anyone else notice that the Nexus 10 has a barometer?
Now weather geeks can keep track of just how low the pressure drops during a hurricane!

    • Josh

Galaxy Nexus and S3 both have one already as well.

  • Stylus_XL

I'm getting rid of my S3 as soon as the Nexus 4 16GB becomes available. If I pair it with a 32GB N7 or N10 for general media consumption I won't miss that micro SD card slot anyway.

    • http://seancois.me/ Sebastian C.

In retrospect of my previous comment, you do have me thinking now, that a missing microSD slot isn't so bad. I don't currently have a tablet device but I do use cloud storage and media streaming services.

  • Lawrence of Arabia

HEY guys, is the Nexus 10 screen IPS or AMOLED or normal TN? thanks

    • heat361

Its a pls screen which is samsungs version of ips

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001144455023 Michael J Carroll

As in, "pls make better screens!"

    • mofo

There has not been AMOLED screen at that high resolution yet.

  • http://profiles.google.com/jonbethea Jonathan Bethea

thinner then the Ipad 3? yep

  • Matthew

How long until it's on Sprint? Wasn't the Galaxy Nexus about 6 months late? It'd better have LTE as well.

  • PINJ

This Is Outrageously Cheap. Most Likely Be 300/250 Euros In The Non British EU Regions.

    • Mathias Jost

      Like always, it's 1:1

  • Mathias Jost

And again we (germany) get them for the same price with the $ changed to €...

100€ (about 130$) for 16gb more is ridiculous. The same jump in the Nexus 7 only costs 50€.

  • Doc

The Nexus 4 could have been a real nice phone, but with only 16GB - what are they thinking? I like having my music with me without paying carriers to stream it. 16GB is clearly not enough.

  • http://seancois.me/ Sebastian C.

Sigh. The Nexus 4 is very appealing. I'm only turned away due to the lack of a microSD card slot (for me, 16GB just wouldn't cut it). That would seal the deal for me. I hope to see a similar device without this trade off announced in the near future.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001144455023 Michael J Carroll

Like the Optimus G that the phone is based off of?

      • http://seancois.me/ Sebastian C.

Thanks. Interesting alternative you share. I have not made a choice, so I guess I'll sit aside for a bit longer to see what else turns up.

  • http://twitter.com/Rob_Firth Rob

so will HSPA+ mean you can take your Micro SIM card out of your phone and put it in the Nexus 7 (my phone does not have any hotspot options)? I am on Orange/ EE provider in the UK.

  • Nadeem Ansari

OMG Nexus 5 is official!! Check out the hands-on with full phone specs right here http://goo.gl/E8sRgz
