Welcome to the Android Police Podcast, Episode 32. Don't forget - the Android Police Podcast's live broadcast is every Thursday at 5PM PST (www.androidpolice.com/podcast). The video version of the podcast below is an uncut, unedited edition - and will likely include various verbal expletives, technical snafus, and probably a good 5-10 minutes of pre-podcast banter.

  • Bob Severns, Editor, A/V
  • Cameron Summerson, Co-host
  • David Ruddock, Co-host
  • Eric Ravenscraft, Co-host
  • Special Guest: Ron Amadeo

No outline this week, sorry! But hey, Ron's on the show - that should make up for it. You can check out the Week In Review tomorrow, though, which covers all the topics we discuss in the podcast and other interesting Android happenings in the last week. (You'll notice I'm a day late with the podcast, too - we were a little busy yesterday.)

David Ruddock
David's phone is whatever is currently sitting on his desk. He is an avid writer, and enjoys playing devil's advocate in editorials, and reviewing the latest phones and gadgets. He also doesn't usually write such boring sentences.

We're working on that. And awesome!

  • benegessrit

Always a pleasure. You need to have more people from the staff guest star in these :)

    • Kus

      we had a guest star?

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ David Ruddock

We do try to, but there's not always a reason, unfortunately. We'll see about getting non-AP people in the future, but for now we're still working on getting this whole video thing nailed down. Thanks for the suggestion, and the kind words!

guys, honestly... i love this site but these vlog podcasts are too long and disorganized. do you ever sit and watch yourselves? i defy you to sit through your own broadcast. yes i get you want it to feel loose, but it is intolerably so. have an agenda, and stick to it tightly so we don't have to suffer.

    • donttrollmepeople

^ignore. other than the 're-dos', i think its great.

      • please help us

^ignore. has 1.5+ hours to waste.

        • donttrollmepeople

lol. i love it when people can be just as much of a smart ass as i.... and still not troll. correction: ^ignore. has 1.25 hours to waste. i did say no re-dos.

          • please help us

the re-dos still count as wasted time since you either have to skip around to find the start or simply sit through them. the fact that that junk isn't edited out is quite representative of the problem on the whole -- loosely organized, poorly produced, overly lengthy. the site is good, but that vlog sucks. why create and deliver content if it isn't up to par?

The video version is unedited. The audio version is heavily cut, and much shorter. We'll be making this clear in the future, but if you want to watch the video, you're going to have to deal with the bloopers, re-dos, and various other off-track tangents. If you want a more on-point version, listen to the audio only by subscribing via RSS, iTunes, or using Soundcloud.
