So, this is the first Broken Sword game, right? Is it the same as when playing it via ScummVM? Thanks.

    • dasdasdasd

They made little customiozations I think... would love to buy it. Even changed build prop to one that matches the Galaxy Nexus but still no luck

-> will pirate it now on scumm

      • blunden

It could require some specific hardware capabilities which it checks for by looking at the xml-files in /system/etc/permissions. The build.prop is only a part of what it looks at.

Not sure...bought it after it came out...it's whatever version that's been available on the iPhone previously. Great game, worth its full price in my opinion.

    • blunden

They updated the graphics etc. on the mobile re-release so no, it's not the same. Aside from the updates, it's the same game though. Not sure why anyone would pass up a better experiance when it only costs them 25 cents. :)

In addition to new graphics and a hint system there are actually new story segments and puzzles involving Nico.

Which Devices are compatible with Broken Sword?

    Need to edit my build.prop

Is it eve compatible with phones or tablets only?

    • Josh

It's compatible with my Sprint Galaxy S II, I bought it a while back and played through the whole game on it.

    • Mei

Was able to purchase with Galaxy SIII as well.

  • IncCo

no apps that interest me.. Unfortunately..

  • PINJ

OMG Broken Sword OMG... And Order & Chaos OMG

  • Thorben O.

Cut the Rope HD costs $0.25, too. Was that the case for Experiments HD?

  • alexcue

I have put more time into Ski Safari than almost any other game on my phone. Don't hesitate on this one.

This thing with Broken Sword pisses me off a bit...
"Can't be installed in your country..." (Live in Spain)

They're nice enough to offer me "Broken Sword: Español" - for 2.99€
    - So what if I don't want to play it in any other language than the original?

Let me just add that I don't have any problems with Spanish - I just prefer things in their original language. That's also why I will never rent any Movies from Google Play as they all seem to be dubbed... This is one of the reasons why the level of English in Spain is very low ( not meaning to offend anyone, but I do live her so I kind of know what I'm talking about) because they dub the sh*t out of everything.

As someone currently residing in France, it's the same here as well.

You can thank me later. :)

        enlighten me... What is Freegate?
        - And please don't tell me that this is some kind of "illegal" way of getting apps - I already know how to do that through other means. Also - to pirate something doesn't really help with changing the way things are done...

        • okungnyo

Freegate is a program that changes your IP to the USA, made for Chinese suffering behind the Great Firewall.

But for others, it's a way to buy stuff from Google Play that's only available in the States.

Just download the program, start it, wait until it says that it's made a connection, then open a browser of your choice, and voila!

          Good luck!

          • Göran Sävström

Ok, that is one h*ll of a goodie!

I do thank you (and sorry for being somewhat suspicious), but it seems I still can't buy Broken Sword from Spain. Why? Well.. the message says "This item cannot be installed in your device's country."

It was a nice thought though...

Anyway - I'm still quite ok - I can think of other uses for Freegate.

  • GraveUypo

    meh... as always

  • GazaIan

Big meh. At least they're doing something.

  • lordmerovingian

Waiting (hoping) for Titanium Backup to get on that list... o/

    • Himmat Singh

I doubt Google will want to endorse any root apps. As things stand, I've never seen a root app be featured in any of Google's past promotions.

    • okungnyo

The developer already said that it wasn't participating. Because it's not a game and it has to offer customer support for its users.

Just buy the freakin' app. Jesus what is with you Android users? And you complain why 90% of all Android apps are shitty iOS ports that come out a year after the iOS version.

  • diem

Even though it doesn't seem to be part of the 25bil sale, Nova Launcher Prime too has a reduced price of 25 cents. I highly recommend it!
