Yesterday, Google started a promo for hitting 25 billion downloads in the Play Store. For five days, they're offering 25 apps for $0.25. Today is day 2 of the promo, and the sales just went live. Here's a look at what you can grab on the cheap today:

1

There are some really good deals in there (doubtTwist Alarm is one of my favorite apps) - at this price, you can buy them all! Go get 'em.

Cameron Summerson
Cameron is a self-made geek, Android enthusiast, horror movie fanatic, musician, and cyclist. When he's not pounding keys here at AP, you can find him spending time with his wife and kids, plucking away on the 6-string, spinning on the streets, or watching The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on repeat.

They should be running better apps.

These are all very `meh`. I wish there were some more productivity apps available.

    • Himmat Singh

More than half these apps have been featured in a Google sale before. meh all around. Not expecting to get any proper app at this rate from the sale.

Too sad I've got already most of them :(

  • PINJ

    Mini Motor Racing WOOOOOOOOO!

    • http://twitter.com/misterE33 Mr E

Very fun game. I was addicted to this one for a while.

  • GuidZilla

how many times can paper camera be pushed in a big sale, ugh.

    • http://wodtracker.net/ acedanger

I wondered the same thing when I saw it.

    • Simon Belmont

      Ha. I noticed that too.

I'd grabbed Paper Camera a while back on the Amazon Appstore. I don't use it often.

DT Alarm, FIFA 12, Mini Motor Racing, Dungeon Village, World of Goo, CTR Experiments - not too bad if you don't have them yet. Could have been more exciting, but not too bad.

    • Himmat Singh

Artem, Fifa 13 was already supposed to be out by now (it's out on iOS and other platforms), so no point getting that now.

      • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

For 25c, sure there is. I'm not going to pay $7 for '13 (I don't even play games), but 25c - why not?

    • guyfromtrinidad

I totally agree with you on your selections, even if you don;t play games these are quality apps. For those who are begging for more utility apps, I prefer to pay full price for those because the developers keep updating and refining them. Games ... yeah I'll blow 25 cents, even if I get 10 minutes of enjoyment, and I have gotten tons of enjoyment from CTR and world of goo

  • Dupri1472

What about some usefull Apps? 3G Watchdog Pro, Androzip Pro, DroidStats Pro, gReader Pro, Kaiten Mail, MX Player Pro, PlayerPro, Poweramp Full Version, Root Explorer, Titanium Backup Pro, WeatherPro, xda Premium...

Or even NAVIGON Europe, naaaaaaa just kiddin'.

    • besthiroeu

I hope we 'll see some of them there :)

    • http://btwnworlds.tumblr.com/ Lou G

I have this feeling they're just picking the 'top sellers' from the games section. Don't expect to see your favorite or most wanted apps.

    • coversnails

Well they did say they'd 'teamed up with some of the best developers' its possible the developers of any of the apps we want didn't want to participate. If you only have one app you're less likely to be to afford to take part in the promotion than a large mobile game company.

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

Don't just blame Google for that.

      http://twitter.com/TitaniumBackup/statuses/251362555438718977

"The $0.25 sale is awesome but #TitaniumBackup isn't part of it. Boosted sales figures is cool but we offer support too. Sys tool != game ;-)"

      • Dupri1472

I already purchased all mentioned Apps. Titanium was the 1st App I paid for ever. Not blaming anyone, was just saying. :-)

        • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

I meant that it's not always Google who decides which apps to feature - it's developers of your favorite apps who are unwilling to participate, for their reasons. I just hear a lot of bitching about these sales in general, and people are quick to put the blame on El Goog.

      • Hal Motley

To me Titanium really is worth the £5.00 I bought it for, I don't blame the developers for saying that.

  • http://btwnworlds.tumblr.com/ Lou G

I've got to say I'm loving this promotion! I got angry birds space, granny smith, asphalt 7, draw something and now world of goo--all games that I play or I have friends that play. :D for a 1.25 USD. that's awesome!

    • Hal Motley

Couldn't agree more, I have snagged a £1 worth of apps by purchasing: Dungeon Village, Cut the Rope Experiments, DoubleTwist Alarm Clock and the AutoDesk Sketchbook.

Keep in mind everyone that we are at 13/25 and we should see another 12 over the next few days!

  • Sven Enterlein

Will the books and movies also be updated daily?

    • Darshan Karia

I really doubt that based on their promotion history...

      • Sven Enterlein

Thanks. I actually don't think that $13.99 for a movie is a good deal anyway :D but a $0.99 book is great. Oh well.

  • http://twitter.com/misterE33 Mr E

Honest question: why is the DoubleTwist alarm clock so great?

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

It's incredibly well designed and is just a great alarm clock overall.

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

Oh, and don't forget the LWP that comes with it - it's fantastic.

    • guyfromtrinidad

As Artem said its a beautiful app, I put my phone in my dock at night and use it as my clock. Seems trivial but I highly recommend it.

    • Simon Belmont

I decided to pick it up. It looks very aesthetically pleasing.

For 25 cents, what the heck? I look forward to giving the LWP a whirl.

    • patapongirl

It's just eye candy in my opinion. Ya it looks pretty and all but I'm still using the Jelly Bean default alarm after a while because the fact that I need to intall another music player to play my alarm is kinda... annoying.
But at $0.25, it's worth it.

  • Elias

I'd like to have those from the promotion when Android market turned google play. Like shadowgun and other big names. I missed it back then. :(

  • justin

    MOAR!

  • Simon Belmont

I snagged several of these and I will watch the next three days. World of Goo, for me, was one that I've been wanting to grab for a while, but kept missing the sales on it.

I actually tried a Google Play card the first time with this sale. Worked great.

    • PINJ

3V Is The Way To Go :D

    • PINJ

3V Is The Way To Go :D

  • xnifex

Would you mind doing like yesterday & list the normal prices for us too? Thanks

  • serrastone

I highly suggest that alarm clock. It's beautiful and simple.

    • wolfkabal

100% agree - been using it for a while! I do wish the snooze / off buttons weren't so close - sleepy me constantly turns it off instead of snoozing.

  • leoingle

*sigh* ENOUGH with the freaking games...

  • Sinistar83

Anyone notice Sketchbook Mobile has tax and some of the others don't? Not that $0.02 is a huge deal, I just noticed when I was buying some of the apps.

    • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

You get taxed if you live in the same location as the developer.
