During the days of my youth, I loved Twisted Metal for the original PlayStation. When Twisted Metal III came out, my mind was blown. I just loved smashing cars with other cars. And guns. And bombs. Then, in 2001, the Twisted Metal series reached the pinnacle of its greatness with Twisted Metal: Black. Sadly, it's all been downhill from there for Mr. Grim and company.

If, like me, you want to relive the glory days of Twisted Metal, then Glu Mobile's new game Indestructible is one of the closest titles I've seen yet. It's like a miniature version of the shoot 'em up title, with some Glu flare thrown in the mix.

The game features real time multi-player action for up to four players, with gameplay in three different arenas where you'll take on your foes with rocket launchers, lasers, auto-cannons, and all other sorts of insane artillery. It's free to play, but if you want to boost your game, it also includes in app purchases. Get it!

Hurray For Glu... Oh Wait IAP... Hurray For Hours And Hours Of Struggling Through The Main Quest Without Having A Valid Credit Card :D

can't agree more but i will say enternal warrior 2 is an awesome game and you can get by just fine without IAPS.

I don't mind paying for apps or games, but IAP are making me not purchase things as much anymore. Bummer that's the way things are going nowadays.

    • Tim Kermode

Yup since this IAP thing has really kicked off over the past few months i'm probably buying a 1/5th of the games I was before. I'm just not interested in that model.
I don't need a finance plan for my games thanks.

IAP makes games fun! how about they make tetris where you can pay to slow the clock or get all squares. wheeeee

    • Himmat Singh

Don't be surprised if there's already such a game out there ;)

  • Langes01x

Anyone else reminded of their 2 previous games with a similar theme? My guess is they are just reusing the same engine so they can make more money while doing even less work...

I am getting so frustrated seeing mobile gaming reach new lows every single day. IAPs are everywhere. They're the order of the day. Glu have released some pretty good games over the past 3 months, but sadly they are infested with IAP landmines! I believe gamers should voice out on this by rating games lowly. But somehow, companies like Glu make millions due to ignorant fools making $99.99 IAPs.

    • Matthew Fry

Yeah, but they pay in idiot currency for 5 star reviews ( even though they cannot verify what rating you gave them, I assure you )

      • Himmat Singh

Mate, even better, for most games, you just click on the link that sends you to Google Play to give a rating. You don't even have to give a rating actually to get the idiot currency.

I'm not playing Glu games anymore, after their Blood&Glory 2 title - you either have to pay around $50 IAP, or grind for weeks, to reach final boss. And thanks to publishers with such an abusive monetization strategy, users now blame each and every game with IAP.

That one is pretty fun. It's not what this particular game is like though - free4all in an open course. Death Rally is more of just a racing game w/ fighting mixed in, no?

i no longer purchase glu games due to the lofty in App purchases. They literally charge $30+ for some vehicles. ABSURD! Its not like you send me a model replica of the vehicle in the mail or something!! Its a digital piece of code! Make cool cars and cool games and sell them for .99. Who cares!?!?

    • Elk Snot

Just download Samurai vs Zombies. It's really easy, and if you beat level 50, you'll have about 150-175 GLU credits within a few hours. It's a fun game anyway, but I use it to buy stuff on all the other GLU games so I don't have to spend any real money.

  • Fifth313ment

Yeah as others have said it looks like such a great game but I won't be downloading because of IAPs! I would probably even pay as much as $4.99-6.99 for this game too as it looks awesome! I'm just tired of devs, especially glu, using IAPs to ruin game experiences. The only game I have EVER liked with IAPs is Dead Trigger as you don't have to ever buy IAPs unless you want some radical gun or items quickly. Otherwise I've gotten to level 28 with no purchases and tons of guns and items!

I really think Glu should listen to the voices of a section of the gaming community and create at least one premium game for every 10 rubbish freemium ones. Something like Gameloft (though I think their recent game Wild Blood even at $6.99 puts a lot of focus on IAPs).
