The crew over at SamMobile have gotten their hands on some nice treats for Tab 2 7.0 and Note 10.1 owners: builds of Android 4.1.1 for both devices. Of course, these aren't finalized builds, but rather a first look at what Jelly Bean will be like on the aforementioned tablets.

Both versions are OTAs flashable via Odin on top of specific stock builds.

Tab 2 7.0

  • Build P3100DDBLI1
  • Android 4.1.1 JRO03C
  • 295.2MB

Before flashing this, you must be on stock build P3100DDBLH3.

Note 10.1

  • Build N8000DDALI1
  • Android 4.1.1 JRO03C
  • 297.7MB

Before flashing this, you must be on stock build N8000DDALH1.

For those curious about the latter build before flashing, here's a first look at what to expect:

Both downloads, along with full flashing instructions, are available at SamMobile and can be found at the respective links below.

I was thinking of returning my Note today and ordering a Nexus 7. Gonna test it out with JB now before I make my decision.

If you rwmember, do toy mind reporting back on the performance?

I am curious to see how much of an affect Jelly Bean has had here, and if this approaches iOS.

Dude get the lecturenotes for the note, and then you know its worth the buck, I think once Cyanogenmod releases the sable for the note then its all freedom and weep, unless you are into the whole size of it

      Want mine?
      I'm opposed to you... :-)

Bought both, the N7 first, then the GN10.1, I havent touched the N7 since.

      Hoing to ebay....

  • tab 2 7.0

If someone tries the version for galaxy tab 2 7.0 please leave a feedback here

    • spiderwibs

tried it in my p3110 wifi only runs great. smoother than ever. but the update makes my tablet a phablet. now having phone capabilities. the battery drains faster than 4.0 and the mic is not working so i cant use google now and worst is rooting. no root yet. but pretty much usable every day. just hating the bloatwares and the phone features.

  • CeluGeek

I'm curious whether Samsung kept the real tablet UI on the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, or if they switched to the oversized phone UI ala Nexus 7.

any news for the galaxy tab 2 10.1?

    Omg. Touchwiz looks so ugly.

The more I see jellybean the less I like it. The OS is a regression. Tested it on Nexus 7 in store looks worse then my phone which doesn't look like a phone GUI. The video made the tablet look ugly. Swipping to the left and right, up and down as indicator of a great OS is getting old.
