The long awaited day is finally here: the conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy - The Dark Knight Rises - is playing in theatres across the world. To celebrate the finale of this epic trio of films, Gameloft has released a game of the same name into the Play Store.

In The Dark Knight Rises you play the role of Batman, who has been re-awakened after eight years of silence, to stop Bane from torturing Gotham. The game gives you access to Batman's arsenal of butt-kicking gadgetry, and puts you in all the appropriate situations to use it: car chases, bomb threats, hostage situations, and more.

Given the impressive graphical content of the game, it weighs in at a hefty 1.7 GB (but, c'mon, it's hard to recreate Gotham City and keep the file size down). And, like with most things, quality products have quality price tags: The Dark Knight Rises will set you back $6.99.

We'd like to express our sincerest condolences to all who were involved in the tragic incident in Aurora, CO. last night. Please keep the comments respectful and appropriate.
