Ok, maybe an app that lets you stream all available episodes of Futurama would be cooler, but this app allows you to fulfill your third-greatest fantasy: creating a cartoon likeness of your head in a pickle jar on your phone. The app also has a selection of alien and robot heads and features to let you experiment with your creativity.

futurama1 futurama2 futurama3

The app does things right by not just keeping the images saved in the app, but also allows you to use the jar heads (not to be confused with Jarhead) as background images or set them as contact photos for the people you're modeling them after. Or you could make a squid monster head for your wife's contact photo. Doesn't matter to me.

The app is free on the Play Store right now.

not compatible with the galaxy nexus? whats going on here?!

    • TheWhiteLotus

I never understand why these things happen.

    • http://profiles.google.com/scottoldfield Scott Oldfield

@twitter-249767013:disqus: Exactly the comment I was going to leave!

    • Chris Clark

I just installed it on my Galaxy Nexus running 4.0.4. No compatibility problems here.

  • Doug McHone

I have the Verizon galaxy nexus and it says my phone is incompatible? Wtf?

    • ltredbeard

      worked just fine for me

    • http://www.facebook.com/gregg.barbato Gregg Barbato

This is how I got it to work on my Nexus. Use your bar code scanner and scan the qr code at the top of the page, say open browser, and then click on Play Store. When I did that it gave me the option to install but wouldn't give me the option to install from the play store directly.

  • Benjamin Jendreizik

    Not available in Denmark :(

  • craig0r

Dude, this app's compatible with like, NOTHING. HTC OneXL, DesireHD, Jetstream, Touchpad (on Gingerbread or ICS!), HTC Hero -- All incompatible. It'll install on the Transformer TF101 which I no longer own though. Seems like it's Tegra-only, which is, as the kids say, lamesauce.

    • http://profiles.google.com/scottoldfield Scott Oldfield

What's weird is that it is compatible with my Nexus S (ICS) apparently, but not my GNex (JB). o_O

      • http://twitter.com/theakshay akshay panday

Not compatible with my Nexus S (CM9), though.

    • http://www.facebook.com/casey.a.kline Casey Kline

      Compatible with my rezound

      • craig0r

It would seem that it's my country, not my phone that it's incompatible with. But at the time, Google Play didn't indicate that to me. Also, why the hell does my Discus say this reply came in 13 days ago?

works with Galaxy S2 on ICS.

      • phikl

Which version of ICS? I'm running 4.0.3 on my S2 and it says incompatible..

  • Droidberg

You guys seriously got my hopes up here. So I can use it on my Thunderbolt but not my Galaxy Nexus? #Fail

  • Robert Leavitt

Not compatible with Nexus... How is it that apps are still being released that do not work with ICS?! Are we still going to see this after JB has dropped?!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=806322383 Ed Jaegers

hmm, says it's compatible with my CM9 Touchpad - but not my Galaxy Note??!!??.....

  • Ray G.

Skyrocket running CM9 nightlies. Not compatible. Boo!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1534593949 Vinny Tuzeo

works fine with ICS on Galaxy S2.

  • http://twitter.com/icyerasor icyerasor

Xda-Devs got you covered. Might still run on "not compatible" devices.

  • http://www.androidpolice.com/ Artem Russakovskii

Compatible with quite a few devices for me, but yeah, no go on the Nexus. Odd.

  • RBI411

    Why isnt this a LWP?

  • Pete

Darn, not available in the UK! ?

  • xnifex

I'm guessing the read/write contact data permission is for setting the contact pic?

  • ltredbeard

i just installed this on a galaxy nexus running jb w/o a problem

  • http://twitter.com/TKfromCLE Terry Kessler

Their device compatibility is bad, and they should feel bad.

  • Carl Hayter

Installed from Play store on my Galaxy Nexus running JB 4.1.1 (the bigxie version of OTA). Got sluggish and stopped once but otherwise seems fine.

  • Dwayne Wilkinson

"This item cannot be installed in your device's country." Really, why?

  • Sootie

    Not in aus... boo hiss

  • jaysann22

31MB! dang this app is huge! i hope its worth it...

  • SlipperieSlope

Hmmm... A simple head-in-a-jar creator app needs access to your contacts and call logs? I can see why it might need access to your contacts, so you can set people pictures with jars, but the call log?

    Tsk tsk.

I used this to set a new FB profile picture. I don't even care if it's also an ad for the season premiere. Then I gave the app a 1-start rating for Viacom pulling channels from DirecTV and said I'd give them the five stars they deserve when Viacom goes back on air on DirecTV.

  • QuestionmarkSmileyface

    Negative on Skyrocket Gbread.

  • http://www.facebook.com/MorrisSEX Javier Cárdenas

    I can't even find it!

  • http://twitter.com/cardsfanbj Ben B

Not even letting me see the page, either from the link or searching in the Play store
    Atrix 2 in the US

  • http://twitter.com/DocFunkinstien Kid.Drunkadelic

Its sad that kids can make relatively bug free apps, yet big companies can't even publish an app that can run on more than a handful of devices

  • da dude

We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server.

American only App is bad and should feel bad.
