In the world of digital music stores that aren't iTunes, Amazon is a crowd favorite. With DRM-free downloads of widely-compatible MP3s and a cloud storage player that isn't the worst in the world, it's hard to not enjoy the utility of Amazon's music service. If that's not enough, though, how about some free stuff? Amazon is currently offering $3 worth of free music to anyone who asks. As long as you ask before midnight (PST), that is.

Similar to Amazon's recent Kindle Fire deal, the company is offering a voucher that can be used to purchase music between now and July 12th. You only have until today to claim the voucher, but about a week to actually spend the money. So, really there's no reason not to grab the voucher right now. Head to the source link below quick-like.

I always have a hard time finding music in the amazon store that I have not already found somewhere else for a fraction of the price... but it's a great move!

Here's what's missing from the above blurb. You have to navigate to Amazon Local to pick up the voucher. You'll never find it otherwise (and it would've been nice to include that detail in the piece, instead of recursive links to your own posts and a PDF of the real site). Otherwise, thanks for the heads up.

I found a few songs that are very hard to find; and I used this voucher to take care of it! Thanks Amazon! I hope you do this again soon.

Yay more free money from Amazon.

I jumped on this offer quick as soon as I got the email.

This is nothing new, they do this all the time. Why does this warrant a thing now? They give away like $5 every two months.

US-only purchases. You can claim the voucher and get the code, but once you attempt to purchase any songs, it says US residents only. :(

Or they could not tell us so we miss out on free songs.

At least it's not iTunes. :D
