Do you like live wallpapers? Do you use live wallpapers? If so, then here's a new one for you: it's called Digital Embers, and it's just downright pretty.

See? It's quite fun to watch, tap, and fondle. Okay, maybe fondle is a bit much.

While the free version is entertaining enough in itself, the full version of the wallpaper offers the ability to:

  • Choose any colors you like!
  • Cycle through up to four different colors with each touch of the screen!
  • Choose for the colors to adapt to your battery level in real-time!
  • Select from several different tile shapes!
  • Customize how the background embers appear (color desaturation, darkening, and blurring).

That is a pretty awesome wallpaper...

For myself (I have the full version), I disabled the Sparks, set auto
touch frequencies to low, scrolling to subtle + smooth, and zoom to far.
This minimizes the lag and makes it a lot more subtle, yet still really
awesome and not in your face.

I haven't seen an LWP that I would keep for longer than an hour in a long time. This one survived the night so far.

Probably one of the best devs out there for LWP

  • Idle Time

This is the best LWP I've come across. It's lively and subtle at the same time. But with it in the background, I can't move my icons around. Press and hold an icon won't do anything to the icon.

I feel like an idiot.  Apparently long press on the empty screen will unlock the desktop.  :)

Liked it. I'm still waiting for AP to give a mention to Alien Shapes, which is the most perfect LWP out there. So smooth, so 3D, and almost no hit (2%) on battery life.

Absolutely gorgeous. I love lwps but they can often disappoint. Not this one. Runs smooth as silk on my old HD2.
