I know, I know, who wants to hear about yet another tower defense game? Actually, I do - I still find this genre to be one of the most enjoyable on a mobile device and pretty much the only one that can keep me interested for longer than a day (I've been playing Com2uS' Tower Defens: Lost Earth nonstop for the last few days). And you might too, when you see the video of Hexage's upcoming title, Radiant Defense.

Remember the magical feel of Radiant, Robotek, and EVAC - the other popular titles by the company? I absolutely loved playing all of them - the signature glow and mysterious, Tron-like sounds in Hexage games create an atmosphere you won't find in other games. Radiant Defense is going to be no exception.

Radiant Defense is practically here - it was submitted to stores on multiple platforms, and I'm guessing since Android Play Store apps go live instantly, they are just waiting to release it, aligned to those other guys.

In the meantime, check out the game's features, screenshots and video below. Don't worry, you can safely bet you'll see another announcement from us when the game is live.

Not a fan of tower defense games, but if Radiant HD is any inclination of how well Radiant Defense will be put together then this game is gonna be excellent.

Oh, you can bet on that. They've been working on it for a long time, and I've yet to see Hexage release an unpolished game.

looks great! One of my favorite Hexage games is Everlands. Great production.

Hexage only puts out quality games. I've enjoyed all of them and still play them from time to time just for fun. I'm not a huge fan of Tower Defense games, but I'll be playing Hexage's version bc I'm a fan of their work. They are also one of the few companies that haven't tried to rape it's customers with BS freemium plans like Zenga, Com2US, and DroidHen (to name only a few)

I hear you on the in-app stuff, but I played well over 5 days of the Com2uS TD game, and I've yet to even remotely need an in-app purchase to keep going. They're there if I want to get boosts, but they're not required, and it's more fun without them.

IDK the multiplayer Com2US is where it really forces you to spend money. Homerun Battle 3D was the worst, you couldn't do anything in multiplyer unless you had a suped up outfit that you could only buy. But then it didn't matter, because they would lose all your past progressions with each update. I guess I'm still holding that grudge against them because I've refused to buy another game from them since. Maybe they've gotten better.

Loved Robotek but I ran out of points to take nodes on my first playthrough. Beyond frustrating. I hope this is just a straight up purchase.

only reason im even reading this after i saw "tower defense" in the title is because i also read hexage.

this might be the only tower defense i keep on my phone.
