Looks like Rezound a RAZR/Maxx owners could be seeing Ice Cream Sandwich as early as next week, if this leaked document from Best Buy that just landed in our inbox is to be believed.

As you can clearly see, Wednesday, April 4th is slated to be the day that the RAZR twins see the Android 4.0 update; while the Rezound update should begin rolling out just two days later.

Now, we realize that it's pretty close to April Fool's Day, so before you scream out "Fake!", we've already reached out to our sources to verify the validity of the image, and it appears to be the real deal. Therefore, as long as Big Red doesn't change its mind before next week, there should be a few more Ice Cream Sandwich devices floating around out there.

Thanks, Broseph!

Now if only Verizon doesn't troll Best Buy and all its customers this time around, it'll be just great.

  • Mad Llama

So, more than likely these will be 4.0.3 or later updates. That will leave Verizon's Galaxy Nexus behind at 4.0.2 stock. Sad.

Not if Verizon updates those first. But yeah, you're probably right.

        What's a "Stock Galaxy Nexus?"

Hope the Bionic gets it too. REALLY doubt it though since this is verizon we're talking about.

Last Big Red leak showed Bionic getting bumped back to Q3. That's why my Bionic is on Gummy 9 ICS. It's screamin' fast too.

  • Mithra

I thought Europe was meant to be getting it first?

  • Leo

    What about the thunderbolt!!!

  • Havoc70

+100 for this. Anxiously awaiting ICS

  • richard

At the time, I thought buying a Samsung phone (the T989) was definitely a smarter move than buying the Rezound. Wow, was I wrong. If ICS hits the T989 before autumn, I'll be very surprised.

All find and good, still what about Galaxy S2?, still looking/waiting?

  • Andrew

For those of us that flashed the leaked RC of ICS for the Rezound, we should still be able to pull the official OTA update correct, providing that it's newer of than the leaked RC? I wonder if the official update will be ICS 4.0.4 as it appears Google made a huge number of improvements to the overall stability of the OS.

So, if I have an 8GB RAZR, am I f*cked?

  • Dave

Any word of this starting yet?

  • P.J

I have until 1159 pm to consider this was based on facts and not reading another blog and repeating rumors, right?

How about responding to the question, is it happening today at all? Since you did write this up.

  • denver

"we've already reached out to our sources to verify the validity of the image, and it appears to be the real deal"
Except it wasn't. Who did they "reach out" to, 4Chan?

    • http://www.AndroidPolice.com Artem Russakovskii

We verified the legitimacy of the image as far as Best Buy employees are concerned and confirmed it wasn't a fake and was indeed in the Employee News system. There was a follow-up update about the DROID RAZR/MAXX in the Best Buy system that came later, which said that update is delayed. What happened to the updates is out of our and Best Buy's control - obviously we wanted them as much as anyone here.

And the Rezound also did not get an update on the 6th. This source is obviously worthless.

    WRONG! Worthless reporting.
