Have you ever been in a situation where you wanted to share something with several applications? Doing each individual application is tedious, and if there's one thing we hate around here at AP, it's tedium. Enter a new app that aims to take the monotony out of sharing with multiple apps at once: Andmade Share.

Andmade Share is an incredibly simple app that adds an enormous amount of functionality and time-saving to the way your Android device handles sharing. It actually just replaces Android's default share menu with something that looks very similar, but adds check boxes beside each option:

Once you've selected all of the apps in which you wish to share, simply tap one of the selected entries (the actual item, not the checkbox) and Andmade will launch each app for you. For example, if you choose to share with Messaging and Gmail, once the item has been sent from the initial app, it will automatically open the second app. If you accidentally try to share with an unintended app, you can simply back out of that app without breaking the chain.

It's worth mentioning that, due to the  unique share menu in the ICS gallery, Andmade doesn't work in that situation. However, it worked perfectly in all of the areas that I tested it in ICS.

This is definitely a simple solution to an issue that many users have had to deal with in the past, and best of all, it's free. Hit the widget to grab it.

You accidentally added a STRONG tag to the end of your market url in the widget. It breaks the url.

Nice catch! Should be fixed now.

A problem I have now is that the number of apps to share with is larger than fit on the screen however I can not scroll the list. Does Andmade Share's list scroll if there are more items on the list than can fit on the screen? Also, will the original share menu return if Andmade Share is uninstalled?

  • Jim M.

To clarify, I'm currently using the default Android share menu (which does not scroll to show all available apps to share to).

    • Cameron Summerson

      Yep, it scrolls.

And the stock menu is still there, you just set Andmade as the default action for sharing, much like changing your default browser or launcher. Therefore, if you uninstall it, the stock menu is still there.

Strange, my stock share menu scrolls without a problem.

GNexus ICS 4.0.2; I hit "other options" in the share menu for the gallery and "Andmade Share" was at the bottom of the list, so if you want to share a picture from the ICS gallery to multiple apps you can use "Andmade". Also, after I chose it once, it was at the top of the list the next time I went to share something.

Does someone have a link for the apk file? I can't install it via the market (on my HD2 with ICS it's not compitable) and I can't find the apk on the internet.
The app looks great. Thanks :)

Love it. The 'Shared' functionality in Android is one of my favorite OS features, and I have found myself wanting to beam things out to multiple apps, so the functionality this app provides has made my day. Excellent find, Cameron.

Is there a way to edit the items in the default share menu?

awesome! makes backups to multiple clouds about 3x easier for me, especially when i'm making bulk uploads. thanks for pointing this out Cameron, you've improved my android once again.

Very cool, you can re-order the items in the share list by tap-hold-drag. :-)

Cool, I love reading about apps that are actually useful, will save me time and are free without being ad infested...a true rarity lately with the android market.

  • Dan

A great idea. I know its a tad OCD, but I wish I could hide some share intents altogether rather than re-order them "beneath the fold".

Throwing my hat on the "remove items?" side. Some of the strangest apps appear on my share list, and most of them I never use or know how they ended up there. I'd like to cut it down to what I'll actually share it with!
