If you're a fan of old school turn-based RPGs, then you're going to love the game Konami just dropped into the Android Market: a throwback to the days of 16-bit  console gaming called Ash.

1 2

The game puts you in the crumbling Empire of Aghaus, and follows the story of a pair of mercenaries after a "routine contract takes an unexpected turn" and throws them into the middle of a war that "consumes the entire continent." Sounds pretty intense.

Features:

  • Breath-taking classic turn-based RPG action!
  • Lush visuals captured by brilliant 16-Bit style graphics!
  • A wonderfully compelling story unveiled through an epic adventure!
  • Intuitive touch-based interface for easy to use and responsive controls!

Ash will set you back a buck ninety-nine, but if you can't live without that classic RPG action in your life, then hit the widget to grab the download.

Please help! Do you know any RPG's like Fallout 1/2, Icewind Dale or Neverwinter Nights on Android? I like storyline and non-linear choices
    Thanks

you could try 'Star Traders Mini', or 'Cyber Knights RPG'. not bad games, but not Fallout. Cyber Knights is close. last time i played it was still a little glitchy but enjoyable.

    Incompatible! Noooooooooooooo!

"This app is incompatible with your Samsung SGH-I897."

WOW? Do you need a brand new phone to run something with graphics like this Konami?

    FAIL.

  • Rowley

I have a Gnexus and it is incompatible with mine too!! and my transformer tablet...what does this work with?

  • Shane

lol compatible with my OG Nexus One but not my G2x or Transformer.

    • Shane

I think developers just forget to select all of the devices when they put up new apps....

  • Bo

Not compatible with my sgsii???????? Wtf

  • koniczynek

Sample video would be a nice thing.

  • Adam Sablich

Seriously... HTC G2 and an Asus Slider, both incompatible. This is the 2nd game in a week featured by AP that I haven't been able to download :(

Thanks, I thought you were pulling a Gameloft and only making this game available to a few lucky devices you pulled out of a hat! Thought it was weird none of my 8 devices I have owned the last 3 years could run it!

  • http://chrisparov.blogspot.com Chris

This game shows as being incompatible on every one of my 6 Android devices! Looks like it's blocked by country?

  • Chris

Droid 3 running Gingerbread is not compatible at the moment. Droid 3 running ICS, not compatible. Viewsonic GTAB running 2.2, 2.3, 3.0 or 4.0 is not compatible either.

Luckily Andrew is working on a fix!

  • Jonathan Michell

just for being a turn base rpg i wouldve blindly dropped the money on this game (way too few on market atm) .. but the compatibility is crazy. works with my old (and bricked) xperia x10i ... but not with a gs2 .. madness .. MADNESS i tell you.

not alone with these complaint on this thread obviously.. heres hoping they fix it quick like!

  • Adam Sablich

    Also -
GOOD LORD are the loading screens SLOW. Every time you start a battle - 20 seconds of blackscreen. Enter a house - 10 seconds. Leave the house again - another 10 seconds. Load the menu? 20 seconds of black.
What happened to fast-in-fast-out JRPG battle sequences?

  • Lumy

I wonder how a Konami jrpg compare with the KEMCO ones... and not compatiable with my sgs2! Argh.

    Has anyone can played this?

  • James

Not supported on Nexus S! Ahhhh!

  • Skyler

This news post had so much potential to boost sales for this game, but I think they've lost out because of all this incompatible crap. I was going to purchase it, but I'm skipping it now / will forget all about it shortly.

  • falconator

Can't locate the game on the market. Comes up as invalid...maybe they pulled it finally to correct the compatibility issue?

    • http://www.AndroidPolice.com Artem Russakovskii

Yup, looks like it's gone for now.

    • http://srrngames.com Andrew at SRRN Games

Yes, due to Google labeling the game as incompatible Konami has decided to pull the game until Google can resolve this. The issue should be resolved shortly!

  • http://srrngames.com Andrew at SRRN Games

The game is back on the market! I downloaded and tested this morning to make sure (Droid Razr) and it downloaded no problem. We are still waiting to hear from Google why such problems came up but the game is available again!
