I bet you thought that when Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 10.1 2, that the company was finished unveiling 10.1" tablets for the week. Not so! Today Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 10.1, a full-size tablet packed with the Galaxy Note's trademark S Pen. Oh, and did we mention that the tablet comes pre-loaded with Adobe Photoshop Touch and Adobe Ideas? Yeah. It's actually pretty cool.

While the Galaxy Note has had its fair share of critics, the supersized phablet has also gotten some pretty glowing reviews. Even our own Brandon Lancaster enjoyed it after spending some time with it. The one thing that most people can agree on, though, is that the stylus and related writing/drawing apps would probably feel more at home on a full tablet. The Galaxy Note 10.1 makes that dream a reality.

Here's a look at the specs:

  • 10.1” WXGA(1280x800) PLS TFT Display
  • 1.4 GHz Dual-Core Processor
  • Rear Camera: 3 Megapixel Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash
  • Front Camera: 2 Megapixel Camera
  • 16/32/64GB User memory expandable via microSD (up to 32GB)
  • 1GB RAM
  • Li-ion 7,000mAh battery
  • Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

All in all, the specs make for an impressive tablet, but the real story is the S Pen. By far, the biggest advantage to using a stylus on a touchscreen device is the ability to draw with it. Samsung has bundled Photoshop Touch and Adobe Ideas (both $10 apps) in the tablet with full S Pen compatibility. We'll have to see it in action to judge for sure, but Samsung may have created a tablet that could provide basic Wacom-like functionality if it works well.

So, artists, what do you think? Would you be interested in an S Pen-powered tablet with Photoshop built-in? I know that sentence is making me drool a little bit just thinking about it.
