LG has officially unveiled the Optimus 4X HD, a rather impressive Ice Cream Sandwich-powered phone which ended up being too exciting to keep under wraps until MWC.

The Optimus 4X HD features NVIDIA's Tegra 3 processor (in all its 4-Plus-1 glory), and a handful of other powerful specs. A full list of specifications hasn't been released just yet (and presumably won't be until MWC), but here is what we know so far:

  • Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
  • Tegra 3 Quad-Core Processor at 1.5GHz
  • 4.7" IPS display at 720p
  • 8MP rear camera and 1.3MP front shooter
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB onboard storage
  • 2150 mAh battery
  • Razor thin 8.9mm thickness
  • SHSPA+ 21Mbps connectivity

As things stand, the Optimus 4X HD is slated to be LG's first Ice Cream Sandwich-powered phone. It will be interesting to see the phone's full list of specs, and compare it to the other goodies we're sure to see next week. Of course we'll be here to divulge the rest of the Optimus 4X HD's details as they become available.

I may someday actually buy an LG phone... Are those models? I mean yeah the girls are cute, but they look really REALLY young to be booth babes.

      yea.... ಠ_ಠ

While the specs look promising, you have to remember who will be making this phone: LG.

It looks like another O2X. Rushed, buggy, slow and overall rubbish to use every day. They're just trying to release a quad core smartphone as soon as possible to have the bragging rights.

Will not be buying this.. better off waiting for a tegra 3 made by Samsung or some other brand known for being good.

I'm impressed you were able to gather all of that from a single still photo O.o

    Fuhchrist huge phones.

I have had a very bad experience with the Optimus 2x..not making that mistake again by buying another LG phone

This and only this. But if you want a phone that has ICS and don't care about anything beyond that, it might be not that bad at all.

Her little hands (on right) make it look so BIG. LOL could not resist.

Exiting news but it's still by LG.
Currently owning O2X and happy with it after modding but wouldn't buy it again because of crappy original software and bad support.

Too many bad experiences with LG for me to want this, though it is a beautiful phone.

I will wait for the other Tegra 3 phones to arrive. ZTE and HTC are the ones I most have my eyes on. Or, maybe a true sequel to the Motorola Atrix, an Atrix 3 with Tegra 3?

I'll take the one on the right please... The model of course... :)

    "omg it's so huge" :/
