So, there's this thing called Formspring. Apparently it's really big, yet many people have never heard of it. Here's the gist: you ask people questions, they answer you. In turn, people ask you questions and you answer them. Sounds exhilarating, no? You can get questions from users you know, users you may not know, or anonymous questions (that's where it gets... fun).

Now this Formspring thing is native on Android. It actually makes sense - it's such a simple service, the mobile device seems like the perfect place to use it. The app allows you to do all the basics:

  • Ask a question (because without this, the app would be pointless)
  • Send photos and get responses
  • Respond to questions with text or photo
  • "Smile" at responses
  • Choose to follow publicly or privately

Sound good? It's free, so give it a try and see if it's your thing.

seems like it could be fun, i use yahoo answers a bunch.

Anyone realize that there is the F Bomb being dropped in the 3rd pic. Nice marketing Formspring. Lotsa complaints coming your way. LOL

and whats wrong with them taking a screen shot of their product and a user using the F bomb? Everyone has the right to say as they please...don't force your ideals on others.

      • Sven

It's hyper-liberalist jackasses like you and the moron that posted below that stop any real intelligent discussion from occurring these days. I NEVER said I was offended by the use of the f bomb ( I actually think it's hilarious), but including it in advertising that will be on display for minors will OBVIOUSLY offend others (not me but others). As a result it's poor marketing as no one wants to alienate ANYONE when selling a product. So feel free to get over yourself. SHEESH.

        • DCMAKER

ha me hyper-liberalist (sp?)...what a joke...i am about as far libertarian as you can get....also how did i stop intellectual conversation...i was starting it...

    • Mark

Oh, no! He said FUCK. FUCK. FUCK FUCK. Grow up. Eesh. >_>

      • DCMAKER

As I always say a word is completely relative.....it only has meaning because we apply it so if you get offended by it than that it your prerogative but not our dilemma.

  • John

This already exists. It's called Google+.

    • Blah123

Formspring has been around much longer than Google+.

In fact, it's used to JUST answer questions. No pictures, no social networking. Just questions.

You can ask anonymously or ask with your username/image showing.

Famous people such as Dan Slott (current writer for the Amazing Spider-Man comics) and use it much more than places such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google+ as it doesn't require a lot of maintenance.

      • Blah123

Looks like they added the ability to add photos. My bad.

  • Matt

    where's all the porn? haha.

  • Jaymoon

So kind of like Pupil then if you can post images.

...except this has a much larger user base. :)

  • Yod-b

so, is this like some sort of Thumb? or it's not for getting opinions? (that service was called opinionaided in the past btw.)

  • Mark

I can't believe some people haven't heard of it.

    • http://www.AndroidPolice.com Artem Russakovskii

Never heard of it until yesterday myself.

  • adam

Alot teen use it i used it since 2008 was 19 and now 23. Adults dont use it because they only use what either get hype or get job relate site.

    • ChumbleSpuzz

And this is precisely why adults don't use it.

  • Ed

Reminds me of another service which was bought by google... It allowed you to ask and answer question through GTalk or via the web... was pretty good.

    That's it... "Aardvark"

  • http://www.twitter.com/APLandry APLandry

Sooo... it's Truth or Dare -- without the Dare?
