As promised, the ultra-impressive DROID RAZR MAXX went on sale today, but for a premium price of $300 with a new two-year contract at Verizon. Not so, says Wirefly, who is charging just $230 for the thin-yet-juiced phone.

What's so special about the MAXX? It's nearly the same as the DROID RAZR, but with one major difference: it's nearly 2mm thicker (for a total thickness of a still-svelte 9mm) to accommodate a whopping 3,300 mAh battery (versus 1,780 in the non-MAXX version).

Definitely sounds like a winner, especially for power users and road warriors. Hit up the source link below to see the product page yourself or to order the phone.

I bought the G-Nex like 2 weeks ago. I actually had a hard time choosing if I wanted the Razr (non MAXX) Versus the G-Nex. After a long dilemma of choosing which, I came to the conclusion that if the Razr had a better battery (I even told other people of how much more I'd like it if it had a flat back and they used that space for the battery), it would be perfect. Is this buyer's remorse or me just being sad my battery is going to be as awesome's as the MAXXs?

Probably the latter. I'd get a battery like that for 2mm more thickness for my GN. I mean, I normally don't run out of battery, but I still get that battery anxiety.

Here's to hoping they offer these types of batteries stock in the future for most high-end devices.

WIREFLY IS ILLEGITIMATE. DO NOT BUY THROUGH THEM.

I only bought all my phones over the period of 6-8 years through them. Yeah, totally illegitimate.

I have an atrix. The mAh for that battery is like 1800, biggest for a while until this phone... But how did the Razr's (original) battery suck so bad? It's only 100 mAh and I could get a good 12 hours of moderate to heavy use out of my phone. I could use it for a full day on low to moderate use (wifi wifi too).
