EA Mobile recently released "the most hotly anticipated racing game ever made for Android" to the Market, unleashing Real Racing 2 – an intense racing game that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you navigate through over 40 miles of track in 15 gorgeous environments.

Real Racing 2 features a dynamic Career mode, allowing players to work their way up from rookie to pro, and also offers touch or tilt controls, which means players can – to some extent – customize the gameplay experience to their liking.

It's worth mentioning that Real Racing 2 is a try-and-buy game, meaning the initial download is free, but users must upgrade via in-app purchase to get the full experience. The game's full version will cost you $4.99, which isn't too bad for over 10 hours of racing through immersive environments on your mobile device.

"This app is incompatible with your Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus."

    Get sick of seeing that

    • Nexuz-Uno

I'm so tired of that. It's okay. Devs are going to figure it out pretty quickly. Some already have.

    • Michael Kennedy

      Couldn't agree more!

Also doesn't work with the Sony Tablet S. I am seriously regretting getting this tablet. Can't play most of the good tablet games on it.

    • taylord

On the bright side, it IS a nexus device, so problems like these will disappear soon. Dev+google support = :)

It isnt avail on the GSM version of the GN either. So much for taking advantage of new hardware, it lets me download it on my N1 but it runs like crap.

Doesn't work on the Galaxy Note, either.

"This item cannot be installed in your device's country"
    WTF?
    (I'm in New Zealand)
Region restrictions piss me off, so senseless.

Ok turns out the one from EA Netherlands works for me:

      That's weird but whatever.

      • uin

Thank you! & thanks EA Netherlands for having there S**t together.

        Works for my Sensation.
        Solid

You did see the part about North America and Rest of the World above, right? All EA games are like this - the ROW version is published by EA Netherlands.

This has been such a good week for android gaming! Developers are finally coming around!

Yep also get tired off seeing that this is not compatible with your device. Especially when it's Tegra 2 device compatibility only. I read a comparison of Tegra 2 vs TI Omap processors the other day about which is better in the mobile device platform they were pretty close, but TI Omap beat Tegra in almost every category including Graphics and Multitasking because of the easy the Omap processors were designed.

    • Dandmcd

If it was Tegra 2 compatible I could play on my Transformer or Transformer Prime. Unfortunately EA are idiots and left all the most popular devices off the list that can play. Stupid as always EA.

  • JohnK

Not compatible with the EVO3d? Oh well, on to the next story.

  • Dei

Releasing a 'hotly anticipated game' for Android that isn't compatible with the latest OS and phones is a lot like not in fact releasing an app anybody cares about. I think EA should look up what words mean.

FWIW, while the US version said it wasn't compatible with my Nexus S / ICS phone, the International version downloaded fine and seems to work.

(Unless there's some problems later in the game. I just did a quick race without any issues, though. Only problem I had is that the first-run download doesn't stop the phone from sleeping, so the Wifi kept turning off and pausing the transfer.)

EA do still need to sort out the way they publish Android games, though. Lots of their games still don't work on my Nexus S, for no good reason. And how come everyone else can use a single publisher for the whole world but EA can't?

No ASUS Transformer TF101 support!?!?! I can download on my old Evo 4G, but not a Tegra 2 device... makes no sense.

    • http://www.teamrou.com Phil Oakley

Doesn't seem to work for Honeycomb tablets atm :(

  • http://www.teamrou.com Phil Oakley

Does anyone have a zip of the data that needs to be downloaded for this?

  • Steve

Strange, it says it works on my old HTC MyTouch 4g, but not on my new HTC Amaze 4G. Says not compatible with HTC Ruby/Amaze.

  • wallpaper42

It's not compatible with my Droid X2. This really sucks it looks like the best phone racing game I've ever seen.

Will they ever make it compatible for all of our phones? Like the X2 and Nexus?

  • Karloz

Not compatible with my Photon either. I was able to download it from the market on my old LG Marquee but it would crash at startup (Marquee probably too week).

  • JoeDirt2217

And yet another game that isn't supported on the Rezound. Bought this phone and love it other than NOTHING is compatible with it!! Upgraded from Dinc for this reason, only to find out I'm still in the same boat. This blows!

  • Hal Motley

Thank you Firemint, I have been wanting this since I swapped to Android from my iPhone.

    • Hal Motley

Having said that when I try to open it force closes on my Galaxy S II (International w/ CM9)! I guess it's the thought that counts. :-(
