So, who's ready for another Story game from Kairosoft? This go around you're not developing games, managing a spa and inn, or racing your way to glory - this time you get an entire planet to yourself!

Epic Astro Story puts you on an untamed planet, and it's your job to make it livable. Once you've made your ideal habitat, the game isn't over - you have to protect it. Expect to defend your world against other-worldly invaders set to destroy your humble village.

Like other Kairosoft offerings, this game will set you back $5  - money well spent if the slew of five-star ratings are an indication as to how solid this game really is. Hit the widget below to buy it.

another great game, but still crashes on android 3.0/4.0. multitouch zooming causes the game to crash.

every single one of their games crashes when you zoom on android 3.0+ and they ignore it and refuse to fix it.

Don't forget the BGM/cutscene bug that's been in their game engine since Hot Spring Story. If you go into almost any of the special event popups, it kills the background music for that session.

yeah forgot about that bug too. THough i didn't notice it in world cruise story. but in pocket league it was terrible.

They have a formula, an amazing formula.

I wish they'd expand upon these games, make them bigger and better; especially Game Dev Story. I'm totally addicted to it; I wish there was more. More more more more! I want a Game Dev simulator so real I have to fight the FCC over the rating on the game I make, e.g. "So what if my Cowboy Adventure game is called 'Spurs in Your Brokeback, I want it rated E for Everyone!"

there's Game Dev Story 2 (currently available on PC, coming to iPhone/Android later on)....

as usual easy instant-buy for me, love Kairosoft games and buying them straight away.

Just installed it and found it really interesting and fun. One thing I can't figure out is how to get the bar on top of a factory to start filling up. I've built Fields next to it (without the exporter), thinking that when the fields are full, the factory will take it, but nothing yet.

Are your roads connected to the factory?

    • Useless

Have you figured out how to use the factory?
I placed it right off a path, with field on other side, no such luck. Then I built a exporter in place of one of the fields. The I demolished factory and rebuilt it. Still no luck. :(

I love these games but they are starting to get a bit redundant...

This one is a nice change of pace from the others they've made.

...loved Game Dev Story BUT a huge number of people is complaining that almost all of their games (pocket league, grand prix just to name two) have issues with GS2, where the phone gets really hot and the battery is drained more than the charger can even load. Yes, you understood: if you play with the phone PLUGGED IN the wall charger, you'll still discharge the phone. This is the reason why i'm not downloading pocket league and grand prix.
