I bought them all. It only takes two or three to be useful to pay for everything. And you never know when something might become useful...

    • jbonics

You know every app you bought they took a dollar not .10, and I guess they are refunding the difference sometime soon. At least that's how it was for me. 20 on the prepaid bought 15 apps have 5 bucks left. No gta3 Damn tax.

  • tekrhino

I bought 27 to be exact, they were mostly games though I was hoping for some major powerhouse apps like logmein ignition..

    • RockinEvo

      That would have been awesome

    • http://pctonic.net Ashutosh

27 for me too! I missed all the apps (including SwiftKeyX) on day 1 an 2, so was really happy when lots of them returned in the later days. :)

    • Beaster1174

Check out TeamViewer, it works great & you can get it free.

  • zyphbear

I was hoping to be able to get more of the games, but since it was limited to your current hardware (unlike Amazon), I was stuck getting only a small handful since my Old HTC Espresso can't support most games.

    • Shinrow

Yeah it's annoying that you can't buy apps that are not working on your current device(s) :/

    • Rodney Gilvin

Did you try buying then in the online store

  • Fabulas

    I bought em all

  • sriracha

mark me into the 31-50 category. i replaced about a dozen FAoTD. some i bought because eventually i'll have a tablet, and some i bought because the app may be more useful further down the road.
i also scan the apps for developer names more now. the ones i recognize will get more of my attention rather than immediate dismissal while browsing.

I got all of the Live wallpapers, all of the actual apps, keyboards, ADW, and I think all of the novelty apps (like star chart). I got all of the high end games and a few of the simpler games...

There was one day that just had such crap like Doodle Jump and a cheesy Motocross game that had Doodle quality graphics, I only bought about 2-3 apps that day. I also skipped any of the stuff intended for kids (except the coloring/drawing apps, which I heard were pretty good for real drawing).

I will agree with others, would have been awesome to see more real applications. As I think back over the selection, it occurs to me that there's actually very few of these apps that people are likely to be using a year from now. Most of the games are only really playable until you complete them. ICS takes away some of the benefits of ADW and Pano. Half of the Live Wallpapers are seasonal (ok, you'll ONLY be using them a year from now, then change back to something else the rest of the year). I'm not complaining, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that plays into the theory that this was entirely about getting people comfortable with buying from the market since many of them will be looking to replace this stuff once it's outlived it's usefulness...and the developers of some of these apps probably realize that they aren't going to get a whole lot more profit out of some of them, so they make a huge push right now to fund their next venture and gain some marketing advantage thanks to increased attention. Sorry for the long ramble... :)

  • Shinrow

    Just one ! Minecraft :D

  • http://www.androidurbano.com Walter

I could get none of then, because my stupid credit card only approve a minimum value of US$ 0,50 per item bought. And since Android Market donĀ“t let us add all to a "shopping cart", I was left with no options.

    • Ali Moughnieh

ouch, you should have borrowed a friend's CC

      • tekrhino

Heck yeah, I would've been like, Dude Here's a buck Buy me a few apps with your credit card and keep the change. Haha

But stopping and thinking about it, doesn't the market offer carrier Billing?
I recall having to set it to charge my card instead of my TMO account.

    • http://pctonic.net Ashutosh

I didn't have any problems buying the apps, but I do agree with you that the Market needs a shopping cart!

  • Claudio

    bought like 4 lol

  • junibert

I even went as far as to sign into my friend's phones so I could buy more apps... I really hate how I can't override the compatibility barrier. Especially for people with developer accounts, that should be optional. (SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!)

  • Freak4Dell

I think I bought less than 10. I bought like 4 the first day, but each day after that just got worse and worse.

  • https://twitter.com/#!/lipefleming Filipe Fleming

    40 here :P

I would have bought Fieldrunners, but did not buy because it was not compatible at the time.

  • Dennis F. Heffernan

I bought 10, mostly games. I'm still new to the Android world (got my Atrix less than two months ago, just before the Atrix 2 came out...:-P ). Still learning my way around.

  • LadyDi

A Grand total of 3. ADW EX is still being used. Heart Rate Monitor used twice *shrugs, thought it was neat and a good idea since step nephew had it*. HD Widgets and since uninstalled as it looked way too much like Fancy Widgets or Beautiful Widgets.

I agree with a lot the very long winded Cody had to say. Thanks Android for a look at least.

  • MetalMessiah78

I only bought 7 of them. I don't really like to buy games, because I get bored of them right away and don't ever use them again. The games I did buy I only installed on my Xoom.

  • danny

I think I bought two. Adw and Sims HD, but I might be missing one. I thought the whole thing was pretty silly after the first two days and agree with what Cody had to say. It was just a bunch of silly games, novelty apps and wallpapers for the majority of it and I feel bad for all the REAL paid apps that got shoved down the list for these "top apps".

  • http://tamcore.eu Philipp

    Bought approx 80-90 Apps :x

  • Matthew

Bought a few games as well as both HD Widgets and Beautiful Widgets.
Before this the only app I ever bought was Widget Locker.
So this actually turned me into someone that doesn't completely avoid buying apps. I even bought Reckless Getaway for the normal price after I missed the sale for it.

  • RF

Bought 65, including apps I might never use, and some bad ones I uninstalled right away after testing. But I never regret it because it helps the developers somehow.
Besides boosted app ranking, extra mouth-to-mouth publicity, exponential income (although I'm not so sure about those apps with backend server costs), the 10b promo also has another effect: those first-time buyers (including me!) who have never added their credit cards, will now become more inclined to buy more.
AND now that those Androids out there are armed with better apps, it might further improve the sales of Android phones. Everybody wins!

  • Ryan

My credit card had a security hold on it because of all the 10 cent purchases.

  • Himmat

Pretty sad that I couldn't buy any app. There were some - especially games - that I would have bought but I don't have a credit card. Am a minor from Malaysia.

Would definitely appreciate if PayPal could be used as I have a few US dollars in there.

  • Saswata Mohanty

I could not fucking a buy a single app as android market doesn't support Indian debit cards. Google must fix it. :/

    • Wessonster

Dude! Google market sure does support Indian debit cards. I bought 52 apps @ Rs 5.2 average and it all went without a hiccup. Even refunds worked! Yes, there was a time when Google didn't accept Indian Debit cards but since a year it works great!

  • Caroline

None. They really didn't offer anything I thought was worth paying even 10 cents for. Most were games, and I really don't play games on my phone much.

  • Allen Walker

I purchased all of them since i might need the apps and wanted to check out the games. i spent less than $10 so its really worth the money!

    • Me262

I bought about 70. I deleted the ones I don't need now so they are ready for download for free whenever I want.

  • Phillip Booker

Bought every single child app I could for my son, a bunch of games for me, and replaced all my FAotD apps i got through Amazon.

  • talktech

about 25. It would have been 2 more if not for being incompatible with my device. I am relatively a newbie to android so it's Ok for me to splurge a bit. Even bought 2 more from the same developer ( ON Sale but not in the 10 cent sale). The 10 Billion promo does whet your buying urge!

  • Hurracayne_dre

I bought about 6 but I had already bought a few of them previously for full price.

  • http://gplus.to/justinheap Justin

I picked up 5, although I am quite certain there is a 6th. Shazam's was great. And Camera Zoom FX was a no brainer.

  • Ryuzaki

I bought 23 apps because some i already had

  • JHPadu

I had already bought the good ones so I only bought a few, four I think.

  • http://cafe-ti.blog.br Alroger Jr

If only I had known... bought ADW EX 2 days earlier.

  • Christoph Wagner

    Only 3.
Tetris for some super quick fun, Zoom Camera because I didn't have a good cam app yet and Pano in case I ever need Panorama shots.

I already had swiftkey, the other non-game-apps didn't interest me and gaming on my mobile mostly bores me:)

  • Chaimss

I bought around 6-7, my favorite being ADW. I do wish I had bought others now, I wasn't thinking about uninstalling and then re downloading later.

  • J Rush

I bought Soundhound Infinite, Beautiful Widgets, Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim (I used to play the original Majesty on my old computer), and I think ADW. All in all, I don't regret buying any of them! They were a steal at the time! I couldn't resist myself. Haha!

  • http://smonkey.site.co.il Guy

    I bought 3 or 4.
    Most apps were meh..
The problem was, that if you're not a games fan, the whole deal wasn't THAT good for you.
If you're looking for useful apps, the apps they offered were ok, but nothing to write home about.

  • mrcreativity

Loved the sale and as someone rightly mentioned it was a brilliant way of encouraging people to buy to sign up for Google Wallet. My best purchases were ADW, SwiftKey, the sims and wmw.

  • Digi_Fort

Bought around 24 apps..... hate to see most of the days posted 6-8 games useful apps were left to a minimum ........ for some apps i purchased i had to go into the review ...... also i bought SlideIT and SwiftKeyX although they are rendered useless in comparison to Swype as i've already built my native dictionary on it .............. some high end games were good Backstab HD was a real catch...........

  • Aeires

Many of them I already owned, so it was around a dozen that I added.

  • notorious

Managed to successfully purchase 12, would have purchased more if it did not error every time.

  • Pawnty

Bought 49. mostly games since I needed an excuse to fill my tablet with games :P Was happy to see HD Widgets on sale since I was interested in that.

  • Bala

Purchased a few. All the apps were not worth purchasing some are poor.

  • Vinnie

I bought a few. No games though. Not interested in games on my phone.

  • http://twitter.com/shamus_carter james kendall

none as I did not have a Android device at the time.
