Update x2: Amazon Wireless just dropped the price of the Galaxy Nexus for new subscribers down to $150 (still $250 for upgrades). It's only "for a limited time" so you better hurry!

Update: Wirefly just dropped the price a bit more, down to $190 with a new two-year agreement or $240 for upgrades.

Well, it's finally here – Verizon's variant of the hotly anticipated Galaxy Nexus is available at last, going live with a variety of online retailers just moments ago.

First up is VZW, offering what is perhaps their most hotly anticipated device this year for the hefty price of $299 with a new 2 year agreement. The plus side here is that Verizon offers free overnight shipping (it's worth noting that VZW has the lowest off-contract retail price, asking just $649.99). If you want to get the latest Nexus device straight from the only American carrier to officially carry it, head to Verizon's listing.

Amazon Wireless is offering the Galaxy Nexus for a substantially lower price – you can grab the device on a new contract for $199.99, or as an upgrade for $249.99. Check out Amazon Wireless to grab the Nexus at a great bargain.

Finally, Wirefly has Samsung's beastly new addition to the Nexus family for $220 on a new contract, or for $250  if you're planning to upgrade. These prices are a little higher than Amazon's, but a discount nonetheless. Head over to Wirefly to take advantage of the bargain.

Just in case you've forgotten why the Galaxy Nexus is awesome, here are the specs one more time:

  • TI OMAP 4460 Dual-core processor at 1.2GHz

  • 1GB RAM

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

  • 4.65" SAMOLED display at 1280x720

  • NFC Capability

  • 4G LTE Connectivity

  • A slender frame measuring 5.33"x2.67"x0.37"

  • 1080p Video recording

If you're in the market for a new phone, this is the device to beat, and it's great to see the Nexus already available for discounted prices online. That being said, what are you waiting for? Head to one of the retailers above and get your hands on the Galaxy Nexus.

You can get the samsung nexus for only $150 after coupon code $75VZN and $25 off for using this link to order: http://www.letstalk.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus-verizon Thanks

    • Dan

      $75 coupon code doesn't work.

      • http://www.AndroidPolice.com Artem Russakovskii

        Sure does.

        • Dan

Now that the link in Tayw1135's message has been changed to eliminate the $25 affiliate discount, the $75VZN code will work. Following his original link, you got the $25 affiliate discount and then the $75VZN code wouldn't work.

  • Anna

The link to the VZW website brings up a page that says "The selection you made is unavailable at this time".......

I'm picking up 2 GNex from Las Vegas Arroyo Market Square corporate store in about 9 hours when they open. I've researched incessantly ICS & GNex since Verizon's November announcement. I spoke with Jose who assures me I'll walk out with two GNex's as eligible upgrade to my 4 phone family plan @ $300 each, no change to monthly bill amount, grandfathered in to my existing 2 data lines of UNLIMITED DATA, no $35 activation fee, no number change fee, requiring a 2 yeay contract extension. I'll post tonight after receipt. Ignore the defamation you read; Verizon DOESN'T suck.

So, VZW will sell them to you at the price they will sell them to everyone? Granted it's very cool that they are keeping unlimited data for users that are switching from one smartphone to another, but as for the rest, meh. It's the standard price. Still and awesome phone, but I think I will go with Wirefly at $240 and wait a bit to receive it.

  • Patrick

Let's Talk has %75 off of Verizon Phones making it about 175 for upgrades and 155 for new activation.

  • larry

Be warned that, for new customers, all of these "deals" more than make up for the discounted up-front price of the phone by tying you into a monthly plan that is more expensive than the baseline 450min/1000txt/4GB @ ~$80/mo. Not an issue if you don't mind paying for unlimited texting (extra $10/month), but if you want the plan I mentioned, you won't get these deals. Just pointing it out.

I need someone's opinion... I have the Epic 4g Touch Flashed to Cricket... I have been wanting to get this phone since I first heard of it's release. But when I found out that it's not going to be much better than the phone I'm using, I've been having some doubts about getting it. I don't understand why Samsung would put a 5 mp camera on it instead of 8? That would be a downgrade? Is all this hype about the phone just because it's ICS? Thanks for your responses...

  • Jenton

Dang, looks like Amazon dropped the price to $150!

AGH, I don't think I can hold out...

$150 ftw! Now even better than LetsTalk.

Hello, found a great deal, half way thru the Arizona cardinals Cleveland browns game Verizon aired a commercial with George Lopez called Blades of Glory, Featured only 2 phones, Galaxy Nexus and the Stratosphere and gives the choice get either phone for 99.99. Called up Verizon and now they deny it, I had it taped and my son erased it. If anyone knows anyone who taped that game the commercial is there, Verizon went online and removed all existence of it, if anyone finds it it was aired nationwide during the game, we have to get Verizon to honor this add, had 10 people in my house all verify the ad was for either or for 99.99.
