If you own a HTC Sensation 4G on T-Mobile, you'll be glad to hear that Big Magenta has started rolling out a performance and stability software update for your device. This update, Android 2.3.4 / software version 1.50.531.1, will include a list of improvements, and should hit all devices by January 15. Here's a full list of what the update has to offer:

  • Software stability
  • Improved battery life
  • Improvements to Trace dictionary
  • Screen unresponsiveness resolved
  • Device taking screen shots resolved
  • Icon pixilation resolved
  • Improved Wi-Fi connection
  • Green lines on photo resolved

From what it looks like, Sensation 4G owners will be pleased with this one. As usual, you can check for a software update via the "About phone" section, and if you have yet to receive anything, it should be there soon.

    "Improved battery life"....
my gf's sensation already get 2 fulllllllll days battery life................................................

    • http://google kaspersky

      what app does she have??????

  • Juri

i have an euro sensation, and i don`t know where you get your facts.. it is still 3.0 ... 3.5 was a beta rom wich is available for all @ xda if you want to try it

  • Bridget Olivier

Sense 3.5 is a Verizon exclusive and only natively found on devices like the Rezound and Rhyme (although the Rhyme has a modified "bliss launcher") The European Sensations have Sense 3.0 just like TMOUS owners. Get your facts straight.

    • Luis

Sense 3.5 is available on the Sensation XL, Sensation 4G/XE (as a beta ROM/RUU), Rhyme (modified), Explorer (again, modified) and the Rezound. Sense 3.5 is NOT a Verizon exclusive. Europe has been rockin' it with the XL and Explorer for a good while now.

Will this install on my phone even if it's rooted? running default HTC sense Rom at the moment...

    • Brandon Lancaster

If you're just rooted and haven't flashed a custom rom, then yes, you should receive the update sooner or later.

  • radha

I have rooted and have stock rom and tried the update and after shutdown it shows the triangle with the exclamation mark. I have to take the battery out to get it back. I will put back some programs that I took that were in rom to see if it goes.

    • jwilbanks79

Any luck? I'm rooted and got the same error. Haven't tried installing it again since.

      • jimmya

you have to unroot, i had the same issue, even if it's not flashed. just google unroot htc sensation, it's very easy. i like the stability of the stock rom.

  • radha

Idid it. I found instructions at xda you have to put back the stock tmrecovery and i put back some stock apps i have removed and after that the update went fine mannually. The i had to install cloclworkmod and superuser again. I had to try several times becaise was giving me an error and i think it was after the 3 times it said suscceful. Check at xda.
