More often than not, we scoff at Amazon's free premium app of the day, because, let's face it -- there isn't much that screams premium about most of them. That's not the case today, however, because QuickOffice Pro and Pro HD (for Honeycomb tablets) are both free in the Amazon Appstore.

QuickOffice Pro

QuickOffice Pro/Pro HD are both great office suites for anyone who needs to edit or view documents, spreadsheets, or powerpoint presentations on the go, and for today's price, you can't beat them. I've been using Pro HD on my Tab 10.1 for quite a while now, and it's one of the best office suites I've ever used on a mobile device.

QuickOffice Pro HD

Both versions support editing and creation of mobile document types and advanced formulas for Excel files, as well as integration with Google Docs, Dropbox, Box.net, Huddle, SugarSync, and MobileMe, so all of your documents stay synced with the cloud whenever you need them.

Even if you rarely need an office suite on your mobile device, there is no reason not to take advantage of such a good deal on a great piece of software. Hit the links below to download.

Damn you Canada. Why can't I have Amazon app store here. I guess it isn't that bad if I download it from "some where else".

Hell yes, first OfficeSuite Pro 5, now this. I'm up to my eyeballs in office apps now, and I'm loving it.

Bummer.. it doesn't work here in Europe either...

    • Hal Motley

Nope, only the Americans get Amazon's App Store. The rest of world have to use alternatives such as SlideME and the Android Market.

nah. you just have to fool it into thinking your american. i'm in the UK and have had amazon appstore fully working for months :)

But are you able to do it with the free apps?

I've used an US IP and an US address and even so it doesn't allow me to download the free app...

  • David

Thats nice but I haven't been able to "purchase" an app since Amazon updated their appstore..

  • Syd

Hmm been wanting to try this for a while but... I noticed that it doesn't format the excel functions and just gives an ERROR text in its place. (google docs import account)

Can't figure how to put QuickOffice Pro in my shopping cart therefore can't "buy" my free app.

Yay I now have this wonderful free $15 office app to go with my other wonderful free $15 office app from a couple weeks ago!

Downloaded it today and played around for a while. It could have been nice on my Transformer tablet.

However, there is no spell checker.

So, I guess it'll be on my delete list when I get around to doing some housekeeping again.

It's too bad. I have a nice tablet with a good keyboard and cannot find a good word processor for it.
