Still hunting for a hot deal on Motorola's original Xoom? Daily Steals has what you're looking for, offering a brand new Xoom tablet for just $349.99 until November 8th. That's about $150 off retail price for the original Honeycomb tablet, a great deal when you consider that most of the other discounts we've covered for the Xoom offer refurbished units.

I actually am in the process of looking into buying a tablet and was considering the XOOM. I kind of wanted to do more research.

Wish this deal would come up like two days from now instead of today when I just started looking at the XOOM...

Is it the right tablet? Argh

I think it really depends on what you're looking for out of a tablet. For me, my decision was all about portability so I went with the Tab 10.1. But in order to get a light, thin form factor I had to sacrifice a couple of things, like a microSD card slot, which the Xoom has.

I have used both the Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 feels like it weighs less and has a more "grippy" back on it. You could knock a person out with either one - they're pretty heavy. But the Xoom feels like dense metal on the back. I wasn't really afraid I'd drop either one, but the Galaxy Tab 10.1 just felt better in my hands.

Still, you won't find a Galaxy Tab 10.1 for $350. I am seriously considering getting this Xoom...

BTW this is a new product not a refurb. Check the notes. "New" in title, and "New Retail Packaging 1 Year Warranty" in the READ MORE section. This is a pretty killer deal!
