The rumor mill is going nuts with release dates for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus, and now we can add one more to the list. We already know that the European version of the device will be available on November 17th, and, according to an uncompleted internal Verizon document nabbed by Android Central, it looks like Verizon may be joining the global revolution on the same day.

There is absolutely nothing that screams confirmed! about this, so just take it at face value for the time being. I'm sure Big Red will make an official announcement as soon as they have a solid date in the crosshairs.

Doesn't matter to me, my contract doesn't end until Dec 26th.

i just want news on the 32gb GSM version. just a complete debacle the way they have handled this product.

if that communication is to believed, why would they hold off on announcing the release date until the 15th?

    F**king Joke.

ya. i call bs on this one. the pic would've been a bit more complete than half the screen/words

This would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath. I would think we'd see a pre-order period on the Galaxy Nexus and the partial image of the phone looks doctored. The notification bar is too black compared to the rest of the phone. As somebody else mentioned why do we only have part of the screen?

    This just doesn't feel right...but I hope I'm wrong!!

Verizon will have a brief window with this phone until Sprints LTE version is available. You can expect to see it in very early 2012... unless it's pushed sooner which I don't see happening.

recently--doesn't verizon have a horrible habit of announcing devices the day before or morning of the launch? if it launches the 17th, i wouldn't count on officially knowing anything til about 10am that day.

  • Jim

all i know, if it even is available (pre order or whatever) on the 17th, my ass won't me doing jack at work all day

  • Sock monkey

Just get me it on AT&T soon

  • just saying

you forgot to mention the earlier report from popherald about the November release, it came before this leak and circulated in forum sites.

As reasonable as any date. That ad blitz thing that said black Friday was just an ad blitz schedule. its Just when they plan to make a push with the nexus not the release ( look where iPhone is 14th) & Maybe its just a piece of a screen shot cause the person took it on the sly, you know without framing, cause they could possibly get fired? I'm just saying its reasonable.

I hope this is right I cant wait any longer and the 17th would be perfect for me. Thats the last day i work for a week.

Regarding the comment about the notification part being doctored in the pic- I think that's actually the google search bar widget built into ICS, and just the black portion of the screen above it.

Neat. It's going to be an interesting birthday.

According to Amazon.co.uk (because I am a limey British geezer) the Galaxy Nexus is to be released on 17/11/2011, as your article on Verizon confirms.

I don't need to worry because my contract doesn't end until February, by which time several other phones with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be released and hopefully so will Cyanogenmod 9.

I can't wait for this phone which is expected delay compare to UK but I am really waiting for it, although some people like Android Digit : http://www.androiddigit.com/android-showdown-samsung-galaxy-nexus-prime-vs-samsung-galaxy-s-ii/ claims that Galaxy S2 still have edge over Galaxy Nexus but I will surly check this phone just because of ICS!
