While we're patiently waiting for the American release date of the Galaxy Nexus, Samsung confirmed earlier today that our brothers across the pond will be able to snag the device beginning on November 17th. As for us here in the States, we'll just have to hang out for a while longer and wait for Sammy, Big Red, and whoever else may be involved to send some release date love our way.

Can you you tell me why this doesn't run flash?" and handed Cam his Optimus S.

  • Verizon, PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY!! (I'm sorry for yelling)

  • Does that include UK?
as Handtec says it's expected to be in stock at Nov.7th not 17th...

  • U.S. carriers are always playing games. Verizon, just announce the launch date and price already.

  • serves you right for getting everythng first :)

  • Any Canadian Nexus launch love?!!

Just to add to it. Scandinavia currently have several resellers posting the 23-11-2011 as the day the phone will be available. As for several European countries the GN will not be the full featured model (samsung importters words) but a 4G/LTE less version with 16GB only. As for conformation from samsung this is currently Scandinavia and the UK (UK for three none the less). One plus is that the Super AMOLED screen will be availeble outside the US not the case for the older Nexus S.

  • samfirmware is not affiliated with samsung so i don't see how "Samsung" is confirming the release date from your post

My Htc Evo 3D is starting to get lonely guess I will have to purchase a purple Evo 3d meanwhile until the Galaxy Nexus lands..

  • I took my AT&T SGS2 back in the hopes that this would come to AT&T. If they don’t announce this phone on their network before the November 17th Europe release date, I’m just gonna buy it off of google’s site at full price (I should be able to do that, right?). I’ll probably get the iPhone 4S, sell it, and use the money to buy the Galaxy Nexus (although I hate to boost Apple’s sales). I know the Galaxy Nexus is a pentaband phone and the 3G frequencies are there for AT&T’s network, but if I do end up having to buy a this from google’s site (or Europe), would it support the HSPA+ or just HSPA?

    • Martin Rosenkjaer says:

HSPA+ is confirmed not to be available buying from Scandinavia or UK. Some carriers in UK might exclusively offer it but Samsung most likely wont offer it as import (cross import might do the trick but risky). I Would expect Germany to have the HSPA+ but guessing.
The facts are that GN not offered by carries in northern Europe will not have HSPA+ if imported officially by Samsung.
This is what Samsung confirmed this far (more guessing is allowed) but I sure hope they will change their mind!

  • Waiting eagerly and patiently....for release in Asia !! Excited :D

  • waiting for them to release in the US :)

  • My Evo3D don't want to know the release date and neither Sprint , but I do
