Nexus news is leaking like a sieve over at Verizon. This time it's from something called "Verizon MAP" (Apparently that's "minimum advertised price"). The latest tidbit of info is one of the last important bits, the price! It's $299.99.

Before you freak out about the November 10th date; that's not necessarily the launch date - more like the earliest possible launch date. We've got a least a month to go.

All this news also applies to the HTC Rezound (formerly the Vigor), which is apparently going head-to-head with Google's frozen flagship. Good luck with that.

Ron loves everything related to technology, design, and Google. He always wants to talk about "the big picture" and what's next for Android, and he's not afraid to get knee-deep in an APK for some details. Expect a good eye for detail, lots of research, and some lamenting about how something isn't designed well enough.

Hmmmmm... More expensive than I'd figured. I was looking for $200 on this - time to rethink my next phone maybe.

Just wait a few days. The Droid Bionic launched at $300 and was repeatedly available for under $200 after a week or so. There's always sales out there if you just keep a look out. Actually, we'll keep a lookout.

I don't have Verizon but I have to say that's a lot for a 2yr ics or not try to b alittle reasonable

So the Vigor has gone through just about as many name changes as the Nexus (Vigor, Incredible HD, and now Rezound)....

And actually, as much as I've been drooling over the Nexus, I'm thinking I may actually opt for the Rezound instead. Specs wise, the two seem fairly evenly matched. The only main difference is the Nexus has NFC & no SD, and the Rezound has SD and no NFC. And if I have to chose between the two, I'd rather have the SD card.

And I haven't really heard too much good about Samsung phones, but HTC seems to have a fairly good quality.... And with the Rezound shipping with Sense 3.5, from what we've heard with the Rhyme, I'll get an extra 5GB of space in my dropbox account. Then all I'd need to do is wait a few weeks/months until CyanogenMod releases a 9.0 for the phone to get a mostly pure ICS.

Your sources seem to have it backwards. There's a reason Samsung phones are the most desired. Just look at the demand for the Galaxy S2 and now the Galaxy Nexus. HTC makes decent phones, but Samsung just flat out makes better phones. So it's up to you. Settle for just good? Or go for the best?

      • steph

Wrong....HTC makes better phones. Samsung is what it is, cause of its display. If HTC would have super amoled+, it would rule!!!!

        • David T.

Stupid. That's like saying if I had Einstein's brain, I would rule.

Samsung not only has better screens, but also better memory, better processor, better camera, better audio, better battery.

          You were saying?

If this is true.....EPIC Fail, sorry but truth.
