Today, BlueStacks - a company specializing in Android app integration in Windows - will be making two large, and (hopefully) impressive announcements.

One of these announcements is the Alpha version of their App Player for Windows. If the name didn't already clue you in, BlueStacks App Player allows you to run Android applications on your Windows machine and enter a whole new level of Appoholism. This means that all of your favorite Android apps are now also your favorite PC apps and, by extension, your favorite Android games can now be your favorite PC games. Imagine the convenience of playing Angry Birds on a huge screen that isn't in your bathroom (Android Police cannot be held responsible if you get confused in this scenario and require new pants). The beauty of this is that Android developers seem to enjoy the idea and, according to BlueStacks, a few PC hardware manufactures want to preload it onto their computers. I don't want to get too excited too soon, but from where I'm sitting, this is damn exciting. For your viewing pleasure, here is the video preview of the BlueStacks App Player:

The second announcement is for BlueStacks Cloud Connect, an app that makes your PC an extension of your Android phone, allowing you to share apps and sync them between your PC and phone. The aim of this product is to create a more seamless phone-to-PC experience, and vice-versa. It will allow the user to share up to 35 apps between multiple devices of their choosing. Unfortunately, there is no preview video or demo of Cloud Connect at this point, so we'll just have to take their word that it's awesome.

Overall, I'm pretty excited about both of these announcements. They seem to address a problem I've been dealing with for a quite a while now: How come I'm not using Android when I'm using things that aren't Android devices? Connects Android Phones and Windows PCs
