It's no secret that we're big fans of tower defense games here at AP -- from Plants vs. Zombies to Fieldrunners HD, we're all about adding a new twist to a fun classic. Magic Defenders HD looks to do just that, with its deep storyline, amazing graphics, and downright awesome gameplay. Don't take my word for it, though, check this out:
Instead of setting up tons of cannons, railguns, or lasers to stop intruders from breaching your walls, you play the part of a lone sorcerer, capable of casting spells to destroy hoards of plundering orcs en masse.
You get to choose your hero for each of the three invasion episodes - the forest, the walls outside the town, and inside the town itself. Naturally, each episode is more difficult than the last, and you can special your character accordingly. It also offers OpenFeint leaderboards so you can take your achievements to the next level and compete with players around the globe.
The game is designed specifically for Honeycomb tablets (Update 10/10/11: it's now compatible with Android 2.2+!) and will set you back a mere $1.34 in the Android Market.

Looks awesome! To bad that I dont own a tablet yet ...
Looks great! But honeycomb only? There's an iPhone version, why not Android phone version!?
Fullmetal alchemy any one? Damn it looks good and why honey come only
Geez! You guys are fast!
@Efrain Yes, there's definitely some Fullmetal Alchemist influences in there.
The phone version is being worked on. It just needs some last minute issues cleared and testing to make sure it runs as it should.
Ok ill be waiting for it
Wow this game looks super sweet i want to play it.
All that for $1.34? Looks amazing, buying now.
Playing iOS version. Only has 3 levels and cuts you off from upgrading in middle of level 3. The two heroes do attack and play differently which adds variety. Eh, looks good though right..Sorry Unfortunately can't really compare to Plants vs Zombies due to huge amount of content in that game even when first released. If does include more heroes and levels in future upgrades then wholeheartedly suggest. Game is fun but needs more "stuff"
Now available for all Android devices running 2.2+
