Evernote, one of the most popular note apps for Android, got an update to version 3.2 recently, bringing integration with Skitch, offline search capability and a handful of other features that make it a huge step up from previous versions.

Skitch was recently acquired by Evernote, and brings a fun/useful doodle annotation functionality to the app, allowing the user to switch between apps editing the same note with the touch of an icon.

Users can now search through their Evernote accounts without an internet connection as well, making it easy to find what you're looking for if you are in an area without data or Wi-Fi reception.

Another big improvement in version 3.2 is the dedicated image/skitch annotation viewing function, using a slideshow interface to easily swipe through images or notes.

Other improvements include better app integration with accessing shared notebooks, moving notes, sending notes to SD card, and a new tagging interface. Head over to Evernote's blog for a full explanation of new features, and swing by the market to grab the update.

I'll be more excited when they actually provide the sync facility they have been saying they have for ages (free version).

Please clarify. I've been able to sync successfully between my home, work, phone, and tablet since day one. I am using the free version in all cases. Sure you are using the same account for each instance?

A while ago I downloaded the free version, it worked well until I tested if offline, it didn't work, I went to their website, a dug a lot to find confirmation that while the paid version can be used offline and syncs, the free version is online only (no sync). Its possible this has changed since...

Nope their website still says online only

Would be awesome if I could take screenshots and edit them ala skitch mode, every screenshot app I've seen sucks.

It's a good app, but I like full functionality (whether I use it or not) and that's where a good program becomes a blood-sucking leech.
    $45.00 is too much.
Perhaps the 1% that fully use this would find this reasonable.. I guess I'm just not fully getting it.
