Motorola Photon 4G, Sprint's latest dual-core Android phone and EVO 3D's only true rival, is only 10 days old, but it's not stopping Radioshack from folding its price sticker in half and throwing it on a sweet-sweet sale - $99.99.

The deal is available immediately at RadioshackWireless.com, though it's currently limited to new accounts, as it oftentimes happens (don't even look at it if you're upgrading). Throw in free FedEx shipping, and you've got yourself a pretty good price on Sprint's second best offering today, at least until the Galaxy S2, a.k.a. Epic Touch 4G, arrives later this fall.

Amazon Wireless and Wirefly both currently list the Photon 4G at $179.99.

Those interested in the Photon 4G will want to check out the review roundup and its specs:

  • 4.3 Inch qHD PenTile display
  • 1Ghz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB on-board storage
  • 8MP rear camera, VGA front cam
  • Webtop-enabled
  • WiMax
  • Android 2.3.4

    Doesn't surprise me. E3D FTW!

Allow me to fix your blatant typo: SGS2 FTW!

Moto needs to unlock the Photons bootloader. If they did that I would buy their phone right now but it looks like that wont be happening before the Galaxy S 2 is released. Very bad choce by Motorola because most will choose the newer SGS2 over the Photon. The Photon is a nice phone but there is no reason for me to pick older tegra 2 technology over the SGS2 Xenos. Moto needs to unlock before SGS2 release.

If only Sprint had good coverage in my area, I'd be jumping on this. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with my one and only choice being Verizon... the Droid Bionic simply can't launch soon enough!

In the past 2 days I purchased the Photon, exchanged it for another one because the phone itself is unreliable. Several people are complaining that attempting to make phone calls was not possible. In fact at least 2 have reported that they could not make 911 calls. The replacement is no better than the first. There is talk of an update coming, but no mention as to when. Totally unaccectable.
