We finally have a bit more info about the mysterious HTC Vigor - a device that we previously only knew about thanks to a leaked image taken by its 6MP camera. Now, though, this device is coming into the light a bit more, thanks to A NenaMark benchmark ran by an "anonymous" submitter. We now have a better idea of what this handset may be packing under the hood, and it sounds quite pleasing:

  • 1280x720 display (!)
  • Qualcomm Adreno GPU
  • 1.5GHz processor (it's not clear whether it's dual-core or not, but we're hoping that it is)
  • Android 2.3.4
  • It appears to be running on Verizon's network

While this handset may sound pretty great, make a mental note that these types of benchmarks are fairly easy to spoof, so take it all with a grain of salt until we get more proof it its reality.

With that said, if these specs are legit, I'm already pretty excited about this device.

[NenaMark; Thanks, bf!]

1280x800 is the resolution android uses for onscreen buttons.

Lets get the official specs before reaching any kind of conclusions though 4.3/ 4.5 screen, 10mp rear/3 mp front camera (questionable), quality battery management, obviously dual-core thanx to 1280x720, super LCD or amoled, 4g/lte connectivity etc good idea for the vigor?

I think it will be a Super LCD Screen and if it will release in 2012 than it might be possible of using next gen. Krait snapdragon processor's.I think that this phone will see a world wide release because it support's wwe(World Wide English) language.

If these rumored specs were from any other smartphone manufacturer I wouldn't believe them. But since HTC seems to always be slightly ahead of everyone else, I'm inclined to believe them.
