The benefits of Android 2.3.5 will soon land in everyone's favorite custom ROM:  CyanogenMod. It's probably safe to assume that it could land in CM7 nightlies as early as tonight or tomorrow, but that's just an educated guess. If you're a nightly user, take a look at your version after you flash the next update, you may just have the most recent version of Android at your fingertips.

Definition: A "nightly" is a bleeding edge release that is built on a daily basis, usually at night after a full day's worth of new code has been committed.

It could oftentimes be unstable and not properly tested, lacking any changelogs, but eventually evolving into alphas, betas, release candidates, and finally stable releases.

This would really be awesome. Still waiting for the stable version of 2.3.4 but I am sure they are pretty close. Thanks!

Might make a backup before flashing the nightly :P

just heard 2.3.5 kills tethering so idk bout including it in cm7

I think that's just Sprint trying to nickle and dime their customers. It was only a matter of time before Sprint started going the way of all the other carriers. Android 2.3.5 still has tethering built into itself otherwise the carrier's programs wouldn't tether either. The only thing you would need to access tethering would be root access.

All that aside, it just sounds like the tether issue is for the nexus s 4g from Sprint.

It's not true. Tethering is here with nightly 144
