Our first 2 giant tablet giveaways seemed to strike a chord with you guys, and after transforming two Android phone fans into two happy Android tablet fans over the past few months (congratulations again, Keith and Chris), we are not going to stop and continue giving away awesome prizes to you, our loyal readers.

As you may have already figured out from the title, our 3rd giant giveaway, sponsored by NVIDIA, is going to involve a Galaxy Tab 10.1, the slimmest 10" Honeycomb Android tablet on the planet and my personal favorite. In particular, we're giving away a 16GB Wi-Fi version that retails at $499.99.

We've got so much stuff to give away that instead of the usual 2 weeks, we'll shorten the period to 1 week.

The Tab 10.1 features:

  • Dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 T20 processor
  • 10.1" WXGA 1280x800 TFT (PLS) screen (PLS confirmed by official specs)
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB on-board storage
  • Bluetooth
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
  • 7000 mAh battery
  • 3MP rear camera with LED flash and 720p video recording
  • 2MP front-facing camera
  • video codecs: 720p/1080p Mpeg4, H.264, H.263, H263Sorenson, Divx/XviD, VC-1, WMV7/8
  • audio codecs: MP3, OGG, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR-, NB, AMR-WB, WMA, WAV, MID, AC3, IMY, AAC(Mono), AMR_NB
  • proprietary 30-pin connector
  • 3.5mm audio jack
  • dimensions: 175.3 x 256.7 x 8.6 mm (for comparison, the XOOM is 170 x 250 x 13 mm)
  • weight: 565 grams (for comparison, the XOOM is 730 grams)
  • the tablet has none of these: SD (MicroSD, SD), HDMI, USB (MicroUSB, MiniUSB, full-size USB), SIM slot (although a 4G version will be coming later this year)
  • optional docks (sold separately): vehicle, keyboard, desktop

More great prizes are coming up shortly, so be sure to keep following Android Police on Twitter, Facebook, and RSS (and if you're in a good mood, click the +1 button in the top left corner of this page!).

How To Win

This contest is now over. We have selected the winner - see if it's you here.

Entering the giveaway is really simple.

Complete either one of these to be eligible, two to double, or all 3 to triple your chances of winning.

  • Add Android Police to at least one circle on Google+, then re-share this message by clicking Share.
Note: You must click the Share link (see picture below) in order for your entry to be counted, as it allows us to track all the re-shares.
Update: Apparently, Google Plus limits the number of displayed re-shares to 1000, which we quickly reached, in addition to shuffling the list unpredictably. So, in addition to re-sharing the message, go ahead and comment on it as well, so that we can track you.
Update #2: Since Google Plus doesn't support tracking more than 1000 re-shares and having more than 500 comments per post, here's a quick form for you to fill out after you re-share - there are only 3 fields: name, email, and re-share url. Submit this form even if your name is in the lists above, just in case.

  • Follow @AndroidPolice on Twitter, then tweet out a message that starts with the following phrase and ends with something original you can think of to spice it up - it could be anything mentioning the Tab 10.1, Samsung, NVIDIA, Android Police, Tegra 2, etc. Just don't forget you only have 140 characters, so make them count:

NVIDIA and @AndroidPolice are giving away a free Samsung Tab 10.1 Honeycomb tablet http://bit.ly/ap-101. <PUT YOUR OWN MESSAGE HERE>

  • Like/fan the AndroidPolice fan page on Facebook, then Like the entry for this article and leave a comment on that entry about the Tab 10.1, Samsung, NVIDIA, Android Police, Android, Tegra 2, or why you should be the one to win. Be creative :-]

That's it - there are no other steps this time around. Very easy, just like last time.

The giveaway starts immediately and runs until July 13th, 11:59PM PST.

It is open to residents of the countries specified in the detailed terms and conditions below (not just U.S. - check the list to see if your country is there).

The winner will be selected randomly from the pool of entrants, announced here, and notified via twitter, Facebook, or email.

1 entry per person for each method is allowed (1 for Facebook, 1 for Twitter, and 1 for Google Plus). Entering more than once on any of the social sites will not increase your chances.

NVIDIA and Android Police will ship the prize to the winner.

See the "Official Rules" below for the exact terms of the contest and eligibility requirements.

International entrants: Please ensure your country is listed in "1. Eligibility" of the Official Rules, and particularly remember that you will be responsible for any and all import duties, fees, taxes, or other costs (excluding the shipping carrier charge) associated with importing the device into your country, as indicated in "4. Prizes"

Good luck, everyone!
