Have you ever thought to yourself, "I would love it if my phone had better battery life - in fact, I wouldn't mind it being roughly three times thicker and infinitely more cumbersome to handle, either." Have I got a product for you.

Yes everyone, a 4500mAh extended battery for the Thunderbolt, just what we've all been waiting for - you'll have so much equipment jammed in your pants that Representative Weiner will be jealous.

BULGE

Hey baby, is that a 4500mAh Mugen Power(R) Extended Battery in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

The folks over at Mugen have introduced yet another one of their signature ridiculously large extended batteries, and they've taken it to the extreme for the famously juice-thirsty Thunderbolt. Honestly, if you're going to carry something like this around, why not just buy an external quick-charge cell and use it with a USB cable? You'd probably look less awkward with a USB cable sticking out of your pants than you would with this freak of nature in your pocket. Check out the video (complete with awkward soundtrack choice), below:

You can buy it here. We won't tell anyone, promise.

  • Ridiculous.. the extended one I have now 2700mah is fine..

  • Now if only it were compatible with that charging case you guys reviewed the other day!

  • You went for the Weiner joke, SON I'M NOT DISAPPOINT.

But seriously, for $100, you are better off getting an 8000 mAh external charger instead - way more juice without the ridiculous bulge, like this one.

  • How stupid. Just get an extra battery!

  • Ultimate Juice Defender + 2700 mah extended = 30 hours of life on my Thunderbolt. total cost $47 with app purchase. This is overkill.

  • That's something you buy for a trip, or to leave in the car for a backup, but if you use that everyday your Johnson will get fried from the radiation absorption before it gets jealous. /\

  • cooperaaaron says:

    I have to admit, I lol'ed.....lol

  • So. Damn. Ugly.

  • Ok now that's just silly...

  • There appears to be an awful design flaw that leaves a gap between the camera and flash LED spots with that battery door... dust and worse could easily just get into that compartment of the phone.

Oh, the above ignores the awfulness of the entire concept, of course.
